5. Wrap the tie around your neck and place both
ends of the tie in front of you face up.
6. Grab the wider end of the tie with your
dominant hand and grab the slimmer end
with your other hand.
◦ The wider end should hang about twice as far as
the other.
7. Grab the wider end and cross it over the
slimmer end about five inches from your
neck.
8. Bring the wider end up through the loop
between your collar and tie.
10. Pull the wider end underneath the slimmer end
and to the right, back through the loop and to
the right again so that the wider end is inside
out.
◦ Try to make the start of this knot look like a triangle.
11. Bring the wider end across the front from left to
right.
◦ This is going to be the cover of the knot, so make it look
good!
12. Pull the wider end up through the loop again.
13. Bring the wider end down through the knot in
front.
14. Use both hands to tighten the knot and draw
it up to the collar by pulling on the slimmer
end and guiding the knot up to your neck.
