IS IT BAD TO SWITCH CAREERS?
Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, told his boss that he wanted to
sell books online when considering leaving his lucrative hedge fund
job. Bezos had earlier discussed the power of internet with him, but
this was the first time he thought of quitting his job to start his own
business.
His boss was startled to learn that someone would leave a highly
sought-after investing job to build from scratch with too many
unanswered questions. Although Bezos managed to convince him
about the idea, his boss added that risk-taking would be desirable for
