To comment on a student's note, instructors click on the note and select "Comment on Note in Portfolio" from the dropdown menu. This allows instructors to leave comments by dragging their mouse over parts of the note and typing. Comments are saved by clicking "save as final," which emails the student and adds the feedback to their portfolio without affecting the patient's medical record.

1. Click on student’s note

2. Use the pull down menu on the right and
click on “Comment on Note in Portfolio.”

3. The student note appears on the
student’s personal portfolio.
Click and drag the mouse along any
part of the note and start typing your
comments.

4. This box will appear as you
type. Hit “ok” after you type
your comment.

5. When you hover over the yellow marking, your
comment will appear. Insert comments
wherever you wish throughout the note.

6. When done, click “save as final” and the
system will automatically email the student
that you have left feedback for the student
on the note. The student will open the
note on Portfolio and see your comments.
