This document outlines the 7 steps to apply for a United States visa from Colombia: 1. Select the appropriate visa type, such as a B1/B2 visa for business or pleasure travel. 2. Complete the online DS-160 visa application form and print the confirmation sheet. 3. Pay the visa application fee and schedule an interview appointment if required. 4. Schedule appointments for biometrics collection and the visa interview. 5. Attend the biometrics appointment to provide fingerprints and photo. 6. Attend the visa interview at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota. 7. Pick up your passport with visa from the DHL office or application center

Select your type of visa. Many people visit
the United States for business or pleasure
with visa (B1/B2, however there are many
different types of visa for study, exchange
programs, work and investment in that
country. Please visit our page ofVisa

regard.We suggest you to persons wishing to
travel to the United States that apply for your
visa in advance.

Please complete the application form DS-160
NonimmigrantVisa.This form is available
online in English with their respective
translation into Spanish. Once endorsed print
the "confirmation sheet" with the bar code.

Cancel the rights of visa application and
attend the appointment (if needed). Enter
the information service ofVisa (CSC), create
an account and follow the instructions. Not all
people require interview, the system will
determine if you require an interview or not
(check the section of exemption of interview).

ScheduleYour appointments to attend to the
center of attention to the Applicant (CAS) in
Bogota or Medellin (if applicable - check the
information at the bottom) through the
Information Service ofVisa (CSC). Similarly
you should choose the DHL office for the
shipping of your passport. Save this
information for steps 5 and 6.

IntroduceYourself in the center of attention
to the Applicant (CAS) that you selected
(Bogota or Medellin) on the date and time of
your appointment, for photography and
fingerprints.Visa applicants must present
their valid passport and the confirmation
sheet DS-160.

IntroduceYourself in theVisa Unit of the United
States Embassy in Bogota in the date and
time of your appointment.

14. STEP 7
Pick up your passport with visa in the DHL
office or in the CAS you selected in step 4.
