Before getting started,
you’ll need these:

What is Thrive
Ovation?

It is a Wordpress
plugin used to
create and display
testimonial

or customer review
on your blog,
website or sales
page

How to Start?

Open your favorite
browser

Go to your site and log
in to your Hosted
Wordpress account

Go to Plugins then
Installed Plugins
(expected that you already
installed Thrive Ovation)

Look for Thrive Ovation
then activate it

Capturing
Testimonials

A form will be
displayed where
your website's
visitors

can share their
thoughts and
experiences on your
website or your
services

You can capture
testimonials through:

For this tutorial, we’ll
use Thrive Content
Builder or Thrive
Architect to capture
testimonials

But make sure that
Thrive Content Builder
or Thrive Architect
plugin is activated on
your website

Open a page or post
where you want to
capture testimonial

At Editor menu, go to
Thrive Integration

Click Capture
Testimonials

It appears at the bottom
of your page or post

Click this button

Select your preferred
template

Save it

The testimonial
template

Click Form Settings to
change anything in the
form

To display more field,
check the box

Label can be edited

Choose which are
required fields

The default question
can be edited

In adding new
question, click this

You can edit the Submit
button text

Or edit the Successful
Message

Or add tags

Your visitors has an
option to load their profile
picture in the testimonial

You have to set up an
API connection with
Facebook or Google
first

Refer to this tutorial

After setting up your API
connection, preview your
work

Click Preview

Testimonial form that
your viewer will fill up

To test if it’s working, fill
up the form

Hover over the picture
area and you’ll see
Facebook and Google
icons.

Click Facebook and
your picture will show

Submit once done

You’ll receive a
confirmation message

This testimonial will be
saved in your Thrive
Ovation dashboard

With status of Awaiting
Review

Manually Adding
Testimonials

These are the
testimonials that
weren’t captured
through our plugin
or social media.

but you received
through email,
other website and
so on

How to do this?

Go to Thrive Dashboard
then Thrive Ovation

Click Add New

This form displays

Encode the details of
the testimonials that
you got from your
client like

Full name (required
field)

Type the actual
testimonial here
(required field)

You can use the Text
Editor in creating your
testimonial

Other fields are
optional

Click Add Testimonial
once finished

New Testimonial was
saved on the Thrive
Ovation dashboard

A manually added
testimonial is ready for
display in your website

Creating
Testimonials
From a Comment

You can add
testimonials on
your posts/pages

straight from the
comment section of
your website

Go to Comment section
of your WP dashboard

Click this icon
(shows at the right hand
side of each comment)

This form will show.
Edit the contents

Full Name and Email
Address are required fields

Answer this question by
sliding On or Off

If you select ON, your
email setting must be
Configured, check this

and the status would
be ‘Awaiting Approval’,
by the owner of the
comment

If you select OFF,
comment is ‘Ready for
Display’ in your site

Hit Add Testimonial
once finished with the
form

The testimonial will be
added to Thrive
Ovation dashboard.

Testimonial
Status &
Approval

To check for status of
each testimonials, go
to Thrive Ovation
Dashboard

Testimonial count per
status, untagged & no
picture are displayed

Look for testimonials
under Awaiting Review
(by site owner)

You may choose ‘Ready
for Display’

to show the testimonial
in your site

Or Rejected.
Testimonial can’t be
displayed in your site

If Awaiting Approval is
chosen, this requires
approval by the owner of
the comment that you
used as testimonial

Or by the owner of the
testimonial

Editing and
Deleting
Testimonials

At Thrive Ovation
dashboard, choose
testimonial to edit

Click the pencil icon

I edited Title, Role and
Tags here

Click Update
Testimonial once done

Testimonial can be
deleted, click this icon

This dialog box
appears, click to delete

Displaying
Testimonials

You can display
testimonial in two ways

For this tutorial, we’ll
display using Thrive
Content Builder or
Thrive Architect

Open a page/post
where you want to
display the testimonial

Click to edit the page

Find Display
Testimonials

Hold and drag it to the
right side

Select the Testimonial
Display Template

Create New Display
Template

Choose Tags

Note: By the use of
Tags Build Dynamic
Content, testimonials
that you’ve approved

are displayed
automatically based on
the tag that you’ve
checked.

It will auto display on
your post/page until
the max number of
testimonials is met.

Check the tags

Edit the max number of
testimonial to display

Click Continue

Save it for future use

Name your template

Testimonials loaded

You can change the
template

You can change the
display settings

You can edit the colors

You can edit the layout
& position

Save once done

Then preview it
