This document discusses three levels of giving beyond the tithe as a way for Christians to show growth in their faith and love for God. The first level is giving the tithe of 10% of one's income, showing a warm love for God. The second level is giving additional love offerings from the remaining 90% as an expression of hot love. The highest level of sacrificial giving described is giving beyond one's ability, as shown by early Christians who sold possessions to help those in need, demonstrating very hot love for God.

“‘Be thankful’ (Colossians 3:15) is a recurring exhortation in the letters of the apostle Paul. No other New Testament writer gives such a sustained emphasis on thanksgiving―and yet, major modern studies of Paul fail to wrestle with it. Dr. Paul Allieu Kamara aims to rehabilitate this theme in this comprehensive and accessible study, a New Studies in Biblical Theology volume. He shows how, for Paul, thanksgiving is grounded in the covenantal traditions of salvation history. To offer thanks to God is to live a life of worship and to anticipate the future acts of God, all in submission to the lordship of Christ. Ingratitude to God is idolatry. Thanksgiving functions as a link between theology, including eschatology, and ethics. Here Dr. Paul Allieu Kamara provides clear insights into the passion of an apostle who never fails to insist on the significance of both the gospel message and the response this message demands. Addressing key issues in biblical theology, the works comprising New Studies in Biblical Theology are creative attempts to help Christians better understanding their Bibles. The NSBT series is edited by D. A. Carson, aiming to simultaneously instruct and to edify, to interact with current scholarship and to point the way ahead.”
Believers, having presented their bodies as a sacrifice to God, ought to serve with an attitude of gratitude, without arrogance using the gifts that God has giving them in appreciation for all God has done for them.
This is a summary power point of the 3 part message I gave about understanding how God blesses our lives. It looks at how we can respond effectively, and understand that God's blessing is written into each of our hearts in a unique way.

Slide 1: Title: Exploring the Mindfulness: Understanding Its Benefits
Slide 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, defined as the conscious, non-judgmental observation of the present moment, has deep roots in Buddhist meditation practice but has gained significant popularity in the Western world in recent years. In today's society, filled with distractions and constant stimuli, mindfulness offers a valuable tool for regaining inner peace and reconnecting with our true selves. By cultivating mindfulness, we can develop a heightened awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, leading to a greater sense of clarity and presence in our daily lives.
Slide 3: Benefits of Mindfulness for Mental Well-being
Practicing mindfulness can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, improving overall quality of life.
Mindfulness increases awareness of our emotions and teaches us to manage them better, leading to improved mood.
Regular mindfulness practice can improve our ability to concentrate and focus our attention on the present moment.
Slide 4: Benefits of Mindfulness for Physical Health
Research has shown that practicing mindfulness can contribute to lowering blood pressure, which is beneficial for heart health.
Regular meditation and mindfulness practice can strengthen the immune system, aiding the body in fighting infections.
Mindfulness may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity by reducing stress and improving overall lifestyle habits.
Slide 5: Impact of Mindfulness on Relationships
Mindfulness can help us better understand others and improve communication, leading to healthier relationships.
By focusing on the present moment and being fully attentive, mindfulness helps build stronger and more authentic connections with others.
Mindfulness teaches us how to be present for others in difficult times, leading to increased compassion and understanding.
Slide 6: Mindfulness Techniques and Practices
Focusing on the breath and mindful breathing can be a simple way to enter a state of mindfulness.
Body scan meditation involves focusing on different parts of the body, paying attention to any sensations and feelings.
Practicing mindful walking and eating involves consciously focusing on each step or bite, with full attention to sensory experiences.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

STEP #5:
GIVE BEYOND THE TITHE
In our present age or the Church Age, Christians are
taught the three upward steps in giving. I say,
"upward" because there is growth in grace and faith
in the process. We illustrate here with the use of a
three-step ladder.
5. How to be a Faithful Manager of God’s TREASURES...…….......4.5
=======================================================
First Step. The Bottom Step on the ladder is TITHING
or GIVING BY EQUALITY.
Giving by Equality for both rich and poor
(proportionate giving) is just another term for tithe-
giving with which the Jews were already well
acquainted.
Second Step. THE GIVING OF LOVE OFFERINGS.
Since the tithe is His, we do not give Him
anything until we give beyond the tithe, a love-
offering. A Christian, who does not give his love-
offering after saying, "I love you, Lord," deprives God
of what is due Him. This offering must be taken from
the 90% which is the Christian's share.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Each man should give what he has
decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under
compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Here is the Lord's plain teaching, that, in the
giving of the love-offering, each individual Christian
must purpose or decide this in his own heart. In
tithing, God has already decided what His portion is
(10%). In the giving of the Love-Offering, the love of
the individual Christian for the Lord is thus
manifested (shown) - little or much.
The abundance, is of course, measured in
proportion to the portion kept at home for oneself.
The moment the Christian drops his love offering in

the offering plate, he silently declares, "Lord, this is
how much I love you today."
Third Step. The Top Step is THE SACRIFICIAL
LOVE GIVING
This giving beyond one's power to give is
sacrificial giving. This is also taken from the
Christian's 90% share. Sacrificial giving can best be
seen among the early Christians.
Acts 2:44-45 All the believers were together and had
everything in common. (45) Selling their possessions
and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.
Acts 4:34-35 There were no needy persons among
them. For from time to time those who owned lands
or houses sold them, brought the money from the
sales (35) and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was
distributed to anyone as he had need.
The secret of this, Paul said, was their truly
surrendered lives; "but first gave their own selves to
the Lord." The Bible says "we are not our own..." (1
Cor. 6:19-20) when we give ourselves to God, we
only give Him what is already His. It is the same with
the tithe, it is already His. We are not really giving
God a gift until we give above the tithe.
Christians, taking their first upward step,
show their growth in the grace of giving by giving the
tithe of all. This shows that their love for the Lord is

WARM. This is the standard love manifested (shown)
by obedience.
Christians taking their second step upward
show further growth in the grace of giving (giving
their love-offering taken from their 90% share) and

show that their love for the Lord is HOT. They give
cheerfully; and God loves a cheerful giver.
Christians taking their third step upward
manifest perfect or mature growth in the grace of
giving, by giving sacrificially. They show that their
love for the Lord is VERY HOT. Their thermometer of
love has risen to the fullness of maturity.

LOVE GIVING
Giving, in the true sense of the word, begins
here. The tithe which is the Lord's by right of
partnership cannot be called our giving to the Lord.
We cannot claim as our giving that which is actually
God's own portion. But, love-giving, which is a
portion set aside for the Lord by the Christian from
his own 90% share in the income, is truly "giving".
If you will give your Love-Offering to the Lord,
you will receive Fourteen (14) more abounding
blessings from the Lord (see the illustration above).
