- 13. User reviews Super easy to use and comfortable. EVERYONE who's in a wheelchair needs one of these. It makes a huge different in a guys confidence when he has the right "tools" for the job. Wow, what a difference this has made for us in such a short time. I got it about a month ago and it's really helped us out. I'm a pretty modest guy, so I won't get into the details, but it really help me feel like a man. I'm really happy I found this. It takes a bit of practice to get on properly, but it's not too difficult. It's very smooth and easy to use.

- Is it stable? It is very stable once you are in the unit, it was designed to be very difficult to tip over. You must be careful during the transfer because it is a short seat. Is it easy to transfer onto the Intimate Rider? If you can transfer in and out of a car or on and off a standard height toilet seat you should be able to transfer on and off the Intimate Rider. It helps to position the unit close to the bed or something you can use for support if you need to. The seat is short so you will want to take it slow. We have many quadriplegics who can transfer by themselves who use it with ease and have discovered a life of great sex after spinal cord injury. I am concerned about pressure sores. What would you suggest? Everything in moderation. We would not advise spending hours on the Intimate Rider. You should not use the Intimate Rider if you have a pressure sore as this may irritate it more. If your bottom is healthy and you are using a Rider Cushion you should have no problem. We advise using it for only a few minutes the first few times and then inspect to see if you are experiencing any redness or discomfort and discontinue use is there is a problem. Sex after spinal cord injury should not be painful! Will I get abrasions if I use this? With normal use you should not get abrasions because your bottom should not be sliding because your back is supported. It is the bearings and the gliding action doing the work during sex after spinal cord injury. You would have to be extremely aggressive to experience any abrasions. I am a quadriplegic. Will I be able to use it? It depends on your level of injury and your ability to transfer. Some arm movement is necessary to stabilize your self and to get into motion for sex after spinal cord injury.
