Horses serve many purposes in the world including competing in sports like show jumping, dressage, horse racing, polo and cross country riding. Show jumping requires riders to memorize obstacle courses while cross country jumping involves natural obstacles like trees and rivers. Dressage performances involve the horse performing a routine to music. Some horses become movie stars appearing on television and in films. Horses also work as farm animals and in other jobs around the world.
