within the film Zombieland, the director has decided to introduce titles in certain shots of the opener, which are produced as "rules" from the main character who creating a
voiceover, talking in the background, this is effective as the audience may feel the character is directly talking to them making them gain a sense of physical adaption with the film.
moreover it also creates a sense of humour as one of the rules are ”beware of bathrooms" this is humoures because the character is giving them advice on how to survive a zombie
apocalypse when it will never happen in real life. Within the film opener of Zombieland, the first shot is a shot of an American flag upside down with the back ground blurred out,
this allows the audience to instantly understand that the film will be revolved around America, and because the flag is up side down, the theme of the film will be the failure of the
country itself.
Furthermore, the second shot is a pan shot where it reveals a car upside down with fire coming out of it with the white house in the background, this suggests to the audience that
something catastrophic has occurred in America connoting the film will consist of negativity towards America. Moreover, the Mise En Scene is a key factor when analysing Zombie
land as the props, scenery, music and shots are very effective, it is clear to the audience that the film will be about zombies, but the goriness and high temp of the characters suggest
to the audience that the film will be very tense and mysterious as the zombies are anther scary and crate effectiveness to the audience as it connotes that it will not be an ordinary
zombie film.
This title sequence links to the genre and thee of our title sequence, This is due to the fact that both Zombieland and our film is targeted at a specific target audience of 15-25 and to
those who enjoy the thrill of being scared. In addition, the mise en scene that we have incorporated within our sequence has been adapted into Zombie and, such as the fire in the
back ground, and the clothing and aesthetics on the actors themselves. This is significant as it suggests to the audience what type of person in an everyday world would be easily
targeted by the zombie apocalypse. Furthermore, the opening sequence utliseses non diegetic sound, which is the upbeat rock music towards the end of the sequence. This is
significant as it creates mystery but also provides an adrenaline rush which we have also tried to incorporate within our title sequence in order to make the audience feel eerie but
excited to what is to come.

Warm Bodies
The first thing that occurs in the opening sequence is a voice over. This is effective as it suggests to the audience the speaker is
the main character and is effectively providing them with an insight and a story of the overall story of the film. In addition the
first visual scene that we see is a shot of the main character. This shot is significant because it is an extreme close up of the
characters eyes which seem to be unusual suggesting to the audience there is something wrong with him.
The opening sequence utilises non-diegetic music in the background. The music that has been incorporated within the
sequence is a calm and soothing rhythm which strangely does not suit the atmosphere within the scenes. In addition, the calm
music is utlised to depict the fact that these zombies have no emotions and are soulless which links to the music as it is very
slow paced and low melody.
In comparison to our title sequence, we did not incorporate a voice over due to the fact that we wanted to maintain the level of
mystery and did not want to give the story away to the audience. Therefore, although voice overs cause been effective in many
films, our film was still able to maintain the theme of horror. Subsequently, linking to the film warm bodies, we also utilised
non-diegetic music within the background, instead of using a calm and soothing tune, we provided the sequence with a dark,
upbeat and loud song in order to provide an adrenaline rush and a sense of thrill.

World war z
The opening sequence for world war z is unusual as from a first glance it does not convey and violence or horror but once
analysed, it is clear that there is a story behind the sequence. Shots such as doctors with face masks and violence between
animals implies to the audience that something catastrophic may occur in the later events. Furthermore in terms of shots, there
are many shots of a large group of everyday people, this implies that the whole world will be targeted within this horror film.
In addition, the non-diegetic music that has been incorporate into this sequence is significant as part of it is normal music
suggesting to the audience nothing catastrophic will occur, but later into the sequence, different types of news reporters,
reporting from different regions suggesting that an event occurring world wide will occur and will have an extreme impact on
the world.
Linking to our title sequence, we have used a different approach to our target audience as we supply them with the beginning of
the story, revealing the theme of the film but world war Z makes the audience imagine what will occur without providing them
with an insight of the film creating an interaction between the audience and the film making them excited to go and watch it.
Although we utilised a different approach, we also used non-diegetic music as we believed it would provide the sequence with a
tense vibe and an in tensional mood of thrill and mystery.
