We decidedtochange the name of our Thrillerfrom NictophobiatoHylophobia.Thiswasalast
minute name change thatwe was reluctantto do as our researchfoundthat Nictophobia isthe most
popularname forour thriller.Howeverwe believedthatitwouldbe bestoptionforthe
successfulness of ourfilm.
One of the two reasonswe decidedtochange ourname is due to the latenessthatwe neededto
filmourfilmforit to be inthe dark.Whenwe firstplannedfilmingourfilmwe decided ittobe
filmedinthe dark.However,whenwe plannedthisitwasthenmiddleof winterandassummer
approacheditbecame dark muchlater.Due to accessibility itbecome nearimpossible forustoget
to the filminglocationatthese timesof nights.Becauseof thiswe chose tochange the plotso it
wasn’tfilmedinthe dark,andwiththat change the name of the film(Nictophobiaisthe name for
havinga fearof the dark).
Our secondreasonforthe name change isdue to the low budgetand difficultof filminginthe dark.
Due to the lowbudgetof the filmwe couldn’taffordthe essentiallightingneeded.Withoutthe
backgroundlightingitwasextremelydifficulttofilm, the scenesinthe darkand more oftenthannot
youcouldn’tsee the actors nor actionveryclearly,forcingustofilminthe day.
