Hopi Ear Candle Therapy is an ancient practice used by Native American Hopi tribes to clear the ears. Special candles made from beeswax, herbs and honey are burned in the ear canal using chimney suction to draw out ear wax and impurities. Burning the candle also equalizes pressure in the head and stimulates blood circulation. Benefits include relief from ear irritations, sinusitis, headaches and stress. Contraindications include recent ear drum perforations or infections. The procedure involves gently inserting and burning the candle for several minutes before removing and allowing the client to rest.
