-In person notifications to PO
-Never allow PR to enter the crime scene once returned
-The PR could be the killer: act accordingly.
-Don’t run off without detaining witness or getting good contact info

S cene protection is tantamount: investigation begins
Homicide investigator conduct the investigation but the 1 st officer’s
actions can make or break a case.
Use common sense for dealing with the fluid situation of a crime
scene.

T-take notes
This is after medical attention has been provided for all sick/injured
parties.
