WHAT IS HOLLYWOOD
Hollywood is a district in Los Angeles, California.
Due to its fame and cultural identity as the historical
center of movie studios and movie stars, the word
“HOLLYWOOD” is often used as a metonym for
the cinema of united states.
In 1911 the first studio was established and by 1920
hollywood was making 80% of the world’s films.
Much of the movie industry remained in hollywood,
although the district’s outward appearance has
completely changed.

OSCARS is an annual American awards ceremony
honouring achievements in the film industry.
Winners are awarded with the OSCARS.
OTHER AWARDS
Oscars are presented by The Academy Of Motion
Picture Arts And Sciences.

Tony awards are given for the acheivements in theatres.
Grammy awards are for the music and recording.

largest broadcasting company and is famous with first animated clip
with sound called steam boat willy.
Warner Bros: A fully integrated, broad-based entertainment company
and a global leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing
and marketing of all forms of entertainment and their related
businesses.

German Carl Laemmle and is the worlds Forth oldest major film
studio. Some of its famous movies are Jaws, E.T, Jurrassic park,
Furious 7 and Jurrasic World all of these movies broke box records.
Columbia pictures: Its is and American film production and
distribution studio of the sony pictures motion picture group. It is
one of the members of the Big Six and used to also be a member of
the little three back in Hollywood’s Golden age.
Parampoumt pictures: It is a film studio and also a member of the
big six. Paramount is the fifth oldest studio in the world and
America’s oldest running studio being founded in 1912. By 2014
Paramount Pictures has become the first major Hollywood studio to
distribute all its films in digital form only.

Christopher Nolan: Born on July 30, 1970, in London, England,
Christopher Nolan received attention for his early
films, Following (1998) and Memento (2000). After directing Insomnia,
Nolan's next film was Batman Begins, a re-launch of the comic-book
franchise that became a worldwide hit. The film's sequel, The Dark
Knight, broke box office records, and Nolan's heady sci-fi
thriller, Inception, became another blockbuster two years later. In 2012,
he produced the third film of his Batman saga, The Dark Knight
Rises. Nolan followed with the space odyssey Interstellar in 2014 and
the World War II film Dunkirk in 2017.
 Steven Speilberg: He was born on December 18, 1946) is an American filmmaker.
He is considered one of the founding pioneers of the New Hollywood era and one of
the most popular directors and producers in film history.[2]
 After gaining traction in Hollywood with directing television and several minor
theatrical releases, Spielberg gained notoriety through his work as the director
for Jaws (1975), which was critically and commercially successful, and is considered the
first summer blockbuster.[3] His subsequent releases focused typically on science fiction
and adventure films, with Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), the Indiana
Jones series, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), and the Jurassic Park series seen as archetypes
of modern Hollywood escapist filmmaking.[4] Spielberg transitioned into
displaying humanistic issues in his later work via the films The Color Purple (1985), Empire
of the Sun(1987), Schindler's List (1993), Amistad (1997) and Saving Private Ryan (1998). He
has largely adhered to this outlook during the 21st century, with the critically
acclaimed Munich (2005), Lincoln (2012), Bridge of Spies (2015), and The Post (2017).
 Quentin Jerome Tarantino: He was was born in Knoxville, Tennessee.In January of 1992, first-time
writer-director Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs (1992) appeared at the Sundance Film Festival. The film
garnered critical acclaim and the director became a legend immediately. Two years later, he followed up
Dogs success with Pulp Fiction(1994) which premiered at the Cannes film festival, winning the coveted
Palme D'Or Award. At the 1995 Academy Awards, it was nominated for the best picture, best director
and best original screenplay. Tarantino and writing partner Roger Avary came away with the award only
for best original screenplay. In 1995, Tarantino directed one fourth of the anthology Four Rooms (1995)
with friends and fellow auteurs Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez and Allison Anders. The film
opened December 25 in the United States to very weak reviews. Tarantino's next film was From Dusk
Till Dawn (1996), a vampire/crime story which he wrote and co-starred with George Clooney. The film
did fairly well theatrically.
Since then, Tarantino has helmed several critically and financially successful films, including Jackie
Brown (1997), Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004), Inglourious Basterds (2009), Django
Unchained (2012) and The Hateful Eight (2015).
