A presentation about the relationship between technology, identity and social platforms and how it has changed us 'the normal' people in our sporting behaviour, advertisers and professional athletes.
With hundreds of new products, terminology, and tools, it is difficult to determine what a legitimate trend is - and what is just a passing fad. In the “Relevance 2.0” workshop, Tricycle gives business owners, executives and professionals a crash-course in the new technology you need to grow your business, improve your brand - and to stay relevant and connected.
The document discusses how technology is shaping lives and the impact of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, robots, and the internet of things. It notes that technologies are becoming more intelligent and ubiquitous, and that jobs of the future will involve creativity, science, and innovation as machines take over more routine tasks. Microlearning and virtual experiences will also shape how people learn and work in the digital world.

How branded content is changing the advertising industryWe Are Blossom
Presentatie gegeven op het Congres Contentmarketing in november 2014 te Utrecht. Vertelt het verhaal hoe branded content de traditionele (online) advertising industrie beinvloedt en aan het veranderen is.
This document discusses social media marketing and the future of social being social. It encourages marketers to listen first before talking, find their own authentic voice, and get out creating engaging content and stories for their audiences. The future is seen as being social as social media exceeds individual channels and supply forecasting will rely more on social data. Marketers are advised to not rely on rented platforms and get their message out directly to audiences.
My standard keynote presentation for an audience that has heard of social media but doesn't know how to apply it to their everyday business lives. Can also be presented as a 1/2 day workshop.

Social media has become a major part of communication in the 21st century. Journalists can use social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter to more easily reach large audiences, especially younger demographics that spend significant time online. However, journalists must be careful to verify information and make sure stories are fully developed before posting to avoid publishing underdeveloped or inaccurate stories simply to be the first to report. They should focus on communicating with clarity, authenticity, and passion while also providing a clear call to action when appropriate.
The document discusses social media analysis and summarizes key findings from analyzing tweets related to UK politicians. It finds that abuse towards politicians on Twitter was more common in 2017 than 2015, and that a small number of prominent MPs received most abuse in 2015. While men received more abuse than women in 2015, the targets of abuse changed in the 2017 analysis.
Social media consists of concepts, media, and social interfaces that allow over 100 million people to engage with blogs, videos, and social networks each day. It influences ideologies and beliefs through constant bombardment of information across various media platforms, and the internet has revolutionized social media by making interaction and access very fast and easy on sites like Facebook and Twitter.

A presentation first presented in Iceland at the iMark conference. It encourages companies to focus on social business strategy rather than social media strategy and figure out what they could do.
The document discusses old and new technologies used by different generations, with a focus on how millennials access news and use social media. It defines old technologies as those now obsolete like floppy disks, and new technologies as emerging tools like artificial intelligence. Millennials prefer getting news through social media like Facebook rather than traditional means. They also spend many hours online per week. While social media provides connections and information sharing, overuse can negatively impact health and privacy, and enable cyberbullying.

Business planning should start with defining clear goals, and social media is no exception. Without a clear idea of what you want to accomplish with social media, you are unlikely to achieve anything at all because your efforts will be scattered or aimless. In addition, different social media goals require different sets of action. For example, if your goal is to gain consumer credibility, that looks very different than if your goal is to convert 30 percent of prospects to sales.
Start by writing down at least three social media goals for your business. Make sure each goal is specific, realistic and measurable. It is vital to make your goals measurable so that you can track your business’ progress towards each goal. It’s also important that your goals for social media relate to your overall goals for your business.

On Storytelling & Magic Realism in Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children, Shame, and ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: Salman Rushdie’s novels are humorous books about serious times. His cosmopolitanism and
hybrid identity allowed him access to multiple cultures, religions, languages, dialects, and various modes of
writing. His style is often classified as magic realism, blending the imaginary with the real. He draws
inspiration from both English literature and Indian classical sources. Throughout his works, there is a lineage of
‘bastards of history’, a carnival of shameful characters scrolling all along his works. Rushdie intertwines fiction
with reality, incorporating intertextual references to Western literature in his texts, and frequently employing
mythology to explore history. This paper focuses on Rushdie’s three novels: Midnight’s Children, Shame, and
Haroun and the Sea of Stories, analyzing his postmodern storytelling techniques that aim to explore human
vices and follies while offering socio-political criticism.

ABSTRACT: Security plays an important role in human life and endeavors. Securing information and
disseminating are critical challenges in the present day. This study aimed at identifying innovative technologies
that aid cybercrimes and can constitute threats to cybersecurity in North Central (Middle Belt) Nigeria covering
its six States and the FCT Abuja. A survey research design was adopted. The researchers employed the use of
Google form in administering the structured questionnaire. The instruments were faced validated by one expert
each from ICT and security. Cronbach Alpha reliability Coefficient was employed and achieved 0.83 level of
coefficient. The population of the study was 200, comprising 100 undergraduate students from computer science
and Computer/Robotics Education, 80 ICT instructors, technologists and lecturers in the University and
Technical Colleges in the Middle Belt Nigeria using innovative technologies for their daily jobs and 20 officers
of the crime agency such as: Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) andEconomic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC). Three research purposes and questions as well as the hypothesis guided the study
on Five (5) point Likert scale. Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation for the three
research questions while three hypotheses were tested using t-test at 0.05 level of significance. Major findings
revealed that serious steps are needed to better secure the cybers against cybercrimes. Motivation, types, threats
and strategies for the prevention of cybercrimes were identified. The study recommends that government,
organizations and individuals should place emphasis on moral development, regular training of its employees,
regular update of software, use strong password, back up data and information, produce strong cybersecurity
policy, install antivirus soft and security surveillance (CCTV) in offices in order to safeguard its employees and
properties from being hacked and vandalized.
