The Sir JJ School of Art in Mumbai was established in 1857 as the Bombay School of Art & Industry thanks to Sir Jamshetjee Jeejeebhoy. The school building was designed in the High Victorian Gothic architectural style, which exhibits a fusion of Victorian Italianate Gothic Revival architecture and traditional Indian architecture.
