North American Migration
10,000 years ago, Native people from Asia crossed a natural ice bridge to an uninhabited North America seeking food, a new climate, and a new life. They followed animal herds for sustenance and materials, eventually domesticating some. The climate in Asia had grown harsh, forcing migration, while the land bridge between Asia and Alaska, called Beringia, provided access to potentially more hospitable regions across it. Curiosity may also have compelled early migrants to explore beyond Asia in search of new opportunities.
