damaged due to the conflict for 4 years and other countries joined in and

Adolf Hitler became chancellor and invaded Poland in 1939 which
began World War 2. World War 2 was more violent than World War 1
as the weapons evolved and became more dangerous. World War 2

5. "Little Wet Home In A Trench"
In my little wet home in a trench They rushed us a few nights ago
Where rainstorms continually drench But we don't like intruders you know
The sky overhead, clay and mud for Some departed quite sore
Drawing and Poem a bed Others left evermore
And a stone that we use for a bench Near my little wet home in a trench
Bully beef and hard biscuits we chew So hurrah for the mud and the clay
It seems years since we tasted a stew Which leads to Der Tag that's the say
Shells, they crackle and scare When we enter Berlin
But no place can compare That city of sin
With my little wet home in a trench And make the fat Berliner pay.
Our friends in that trench cross the Yes we'll think of the cold slush and stench
way As we fought with the Belgians and French
Seem to know that we're here to stay There'll be shed then I fear
They shoot and they shout Redder stuff than a tear
But they can't get us out For my little wet home in a trench
Tho' there's no dirty tricky they won't
play
