Stray dogs in Gurgaon are being trained to protect residential areas and act as watch dogs. The Haryana government has partnered with an NGO to provide the dogs with basic obedience training so they guard neighborhoods and alert residents to any suspicious activity. Over 100 stray dogs have already undergone training in the initial phase of the program to help control stray dog populations and make communities safer.
