“Providing

college
planning
solutions”
The Heartland Institute of Financial
Education (HIFE) is a national 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization whose mission is
to promote financial literacy across
North America. Our mission begins with
HIFE College Planning. It is the goal of
HIFE to help students obtain a college
education.
A college education is every parent’s
dream for their children. We want the
best for our children, but often wonder,
“How will we pay for it?”
Working with The Heartland Institute
helps the student get the education he or
she deserves without incurring the
unnecessary financial burden.
This is not an empty promise! Our proven
strategies provide solutions that help
turn these dreams into reality. The key is
knowing what to do, how to do it, and
when to do it.
We assist the student with the entire
college process, from preparation to
admissions to selection to financial-aid
guidance...a process we call……
“DO COLLEGE RIGHT”
One day your child will be

2. “DO COLLEGE RIGHT”
Determining the most cost-effective, tax
efficient way to fund a college
education is not always easy. Many
parents would prefer not to think about
it at all - hoping that things will
somehow work out. Due to the “cross-
your-fingers” approach, many families
face limited choices for college. In order
for families to best prepare for this
future event, it is important to
understand college options, college
pricing, the admissions process,
financial-aid and how to best navigate
the entire complex college system.
Truly, there are many considerations
and decisions to be made surrounding
the college experience. Some of these
include, determining the best career
based on interests, salary and job
outlook, what type of education is
needed, and the application process.
Beyond this is how to properly fund
education. The Heartland Institute
utilizes specific strategies which are
exercised by your personal Coach to
help each student reach their
educational goals. It’s part of what we
call…

HIFE College Planning supports the
efforts of high school students and parents
by helping families accurately assess their
child’s aptitudes and interests. The
Heartland Institute’s College Planning
Coaches work directly with students by
using these assessments to select the
proper major and proper college. Not
selecting a suitable major or appropriate
college will, often times, cause a 4-year
degree program to take 5 years, or even
longer!
