This document shows the temperature over time for a thermocouple with and without tape insulation in an oven. The thermocouple warmed faster when wrapped in tape, reaching temperatures about 10-30 degrees Celsius higher at each time point. The heating rate was approximately 3.2 degrees Celsius per minute for the insulated thermocouple and 2.0 degrees Celsius per minute for the uninsulated thermocouple.
