This document summarizes the redesign of a soap dish to address problems with the original design. The original soap dish had small gaps and corners where soap could get trapped, an large handle that created an unbalanced weight distribution, and complex detailing that increased production costs. The redesign simplifies the form to remove gaps and corners, reduces the handle size, centralizes the weight, incorporates slight curves to drain melted soap, and uses a simpler design for easier cleaning and lower production costs.
