- The company reported a 4th quarter net loss of $946 million and a full year net loss of $779 million due to asset impairments and restructuring charges. Excluding special items, the 4th quarter net loss was $74 million and full year net earnings were $153 million.
- Cash flow from operations was $769 million for the 4th quarter and $773 million for the full year. Free cash flow was $625 million and $291 million respectively.
An internal combustion engine converts heat energy from burning fuel into mechanical energy. There are two main types of engines - reciprocating and rotary. Reciprocating engines have pistons that move up and down in cylinders. The main systems required for an engine to operate are the fuel, ignition, lubrication, and cooling systems. Electronic fuel injection systems use sensors and an electronic control module to monitor conditions and precisely control the fuel injection amount and timing. This allows for optimal fuel metering and air-fuel ratios under all operating conditions.
The document provides instructions for testing various components of a port fuel injection system, including:
1) Checking fuel pressure and how to test a fuel pressure regulator.
2) Listening to fuel injectors with a stethoscope to check operation.
3) Using a scan tool to check idle air control counts as an indicator of a vacuum leak.
4) Testing fuel pressure retention over time to diagnose leaks in fuel injectors, lines, or the pressure regulator.

Roberto O. Pellizzari, John Baron, Jan Roger Linna, Peter Loftus, Peter Palmer, John Paul Mello, Stuart Bennett Sprague - Fuel System for an Internal Combustion Engine and Method for Controlling Same
The document provides information on diesel engine operation and diagnosis. It explains that diesel engines work via compression ignition where fuel is injected into hot compressed air, igniting the fuel. It describes the differences between direct injection and indirect injection diesel engines. It also outlines the key components of diesel engines like the fuel system, injection pump, injectors, turbochargers, and emission control systems. Advantages include torque and fuel economy, while disadvantages include noise, smell and cold starting issues.
The document discusses the fuel system components of a vehicle, including:
1) The fuel delivery system consists of a fuel pump module, fuel injectors, fuel rail, fuel tank, filler tube, and quick connect fittings.
2) The fuel pump module contains the electric fuel pump, fuel filter/regulator, fuel gauge sensor, and fuel lines. It pumps fuel to the fuel rail.
3) Fuel pressure is maintained between 49-54 psi by the regulator. The fuel injectors spray fuel into the intake manifold based on PCM commands.

It outlines 31 test operations to characterize the pump's performance under various conditions, including priming, fuel delivery at idle and various engine speeds, backleakage, timing, governor function, and linkage settings. Tools are specified for accurately measuring parameters like fuel delivery, pump advance, and internal and external timing.
Experimental study of the Effect of Fuel Injector nozzle holes on Direct Inje...IOSR Journals
Fuel injection parameters play an important role in diesel engine performance for obtaining
proper combustion. The performance and emission characteristics of diesel engine depend on many parameters.
The important parameters which influence the performance and emission of diesel engine are fuel injection
pressure, fuel nozzle holes and its size. An experimental study was performed on a light duty direct injection
diesel engine at 200 bar, 220 bar and 240 bar injection pressure to study its effect on performance and
emission. The injection pressure was changed by adjusting the fuel injector spring tension. Future emission
legislation will require substantial reductions of NO x and Smoke emissions from diesel engines. The
combustion and formation in a diesel engine is governed mainly by spray formation and mixing. Important
parameters governing these are droplet size, distribution concentration and injection velocity. Smaller orifices
are believed to give smaller droplet size, even with reduce injection pressure, which leads to better fuel
atomization, faster evaporation and better mixing. The performance and emission characteristics were
presented graphically to conclude that they were found better with 5 hole nozzle of Ø = 0.2 mm at the fuel
injection pressure 220 bar for the light duty engine.
Scientific Paper on Injector with Injection of High Density FluidMarijo Miljkovic
This document describes an injector that injects a high density fluid into a diffuser (mixing chamber) as part of a power cycle. It introduces the concept of injecting a high density fluid through a nozzle into a mixture of vapors in the diffuser. This allows the kinetic energy of both streams to be used to increase the pressure of the mixture while maintaining a constant enthalpy. Calculations are shown applying the first law of thermodynamics to model the injector cycle with irreversible processes and determine the overall efficiency. Key parameters like mass flow rates, enthalpies and densities of the working fluid (R32) are calculated at each state point in the cycle.

čita podatke.
• Na njemu se drže svi podaci neophodni
za pokretanje računara, npr. operativni
sistem.
• Svaka datoteka (slika, video, tekst) je
red bajtova zapisanih na tvrdom disku.
3. DELOVI HARD DISKA
Hard disk se sastoji od 5 glavnih delova:
magnetna ploča
glava za čitanje/pisanje
pobuđivačka kazaljka
pobuđivač

4.
5. Podaci se zapisuju na površini
magnetne ploče u sektorima i
stazama. Sektor obično sadrži
određeni broj bajtova i oni su
u obliku zaobljenih
polukrugova, dok su staze u
obliku koncentričnih

7. VRSTE HARD DISKOVA
Postoje eksterni (spoljni) i interni (unutrašnji)
hard-diskovi.
Eksterni su velikog kapaciteta (i do
nekoliko terabajta), ali zato mogu biti veliki
