Bulgarians celebrate Baba Marta (Grandma Marta) on March 1st to welcome the spring. As part of the tradition, they exchange Martenitsi, which are braided red and white threads symbolizing health and fertility. According to folklore, Baba Marta is an old woman whose mood reflects the changeable March weather. Wearing the Martenitsa's colors of red and white was believed to appease Baba Marta and make winter pass more quickly.
Large hadron collider by 1329040094(shivam chaudhary)Shivam Chaudhary
Shivam presented on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. The LHC is a 27 km particle accelerator that collides beams of hadrons, which are particles made of quarks, at nearly the speed of light. This generates enormous energy that scientists hope will help create a model of the early universe and discover more fundamental particles. While the LHC could provide benefits like cancer therapy advances, it also requires a large amount of energy in one place and there is a risk it could create small black holes, with no fixed time for when the experiment will end.
The document discusses the history of puppetry and dolls in ancient Greece and their cultural significance. It describes how dolls were used in worship and as children's toys. Puppets in ancient Greece were called "nevrospasto" and were moved by strings. The document then outlines the introduction of shadow puppetry from Turkey and glove puppets from Italy in the 19th century. It notes the popularity of puppet shows in Greece in the 20th century and modern European influences on the art form, as well as the founding of the Greek Center of Puppet Theatre.

Martis is a wristband made of twisted red and white thread that Greek children wear from March 1st to 31st according to tradition. It is believed to protect children's faces from the sun and is sometimes also worn as a ring or on the big toe to avoid stumbling. Martis is also hung in trees and around pitchers to encourage flowering and keep water cold. The custom of Martis has spread throughout the Balkans and is believed to have roots in ancient Greek Eleusinian mysteries where initiates would tie threads during ceremonies.
