3. With almost a hundred families, businesses and livelihood affected by this problem, the Philippine government is asking us now to conserve water! I think it’s too late for a cry like that.
4. Water is already starting to be a limited resource and its not like the older times that you can use water however and whenever you want. Conserving water is already a must nowadays especially as more people around the world are experiencing water shortages themselves.
5. Here are some quick tips to conserve water, some have been said a couple of times in the past already but its better to keep on saying it as most people seems to keep on forgetting:
6. 1. Don’t keep the faucet running when not in use. This also means it while you are brushing your teeth. Just turn on the faucet if you already need it at that time.
7. 2. Don’t throw away used water from laundry. If you can collect it somehow, you can still actually use it to water the plants or to wash your car. Try to be creative and use water multiple times until its obviously no longer suitable to be used for anything else.
8. 3. Check that all your water pipes are leak free. Check also if you’re faucet is not dripping water when closed. If there are some leaks, call your plumber immediately to fix the problem.
9. 4. Never flush the toilet unnecessarily. It uses a lot of water to flush down things and if you use it without the need to, you are wasting a lot of water!
10. 5. Try and follow the tips 1 to 4 and share them with people around you, in that way more people would conserve water and not just you.
