Due to the overabundance of gun crime and mass shootings, I feel some action needs to be taken to
regulate the distribution of fire arms. I support being able to defend one’s self if necessary and the
ability to hunt wild game. I don’t, however, think it imperative that people own fully automatic assault
weaponry.
To obtain a gun of any sort, I think thorough background checks and mental evaluations should be
required. I know that some would argue a breach of privacy, or perhaps a slippery-slope argument about
how far the regulations would go. This, like the issue of gun control, is something that would need to be
monitored.
