This is a presentation I gave in Douglas College on a workshop about successful career for immigrants. Being immigrant myself I wanted to share my story and provide some added value and encouragement to newcomers.
Our company, called TK, operates a bar with 6 employees and offers various alcohol drinks like beer, cocktails, wine, and spirits. One product, a highball, is made by pouring whiskey into a beer mug, squeezing in lemon juice, adding ice, and then topping it off with a mixer like ginger ale, Coca-Cola, or soda. Employees decide what drinks to make based on the number of reservations and orders for the day. Products are packaged for customers. The bar teaches customers about its products through an online homepage or pamphlets, and provides support through telephone, email, manuals, and online help in Japanese and English. Employees and customers can contact the bar by visiting its webpage or calling/
