Day 1
Travel from Manchester to Iqaluit in Canada. You will then travel from Iqaluit to Nuuk where you
will be staying for the duration of your trip. Once you have arrived at the airport you will be
greeted by a snow mobile to take you to your first accommodation. This will be in Nuuk and you
will have the rest of the day to settle in and explore the fabulous accommodation. For dinner you
will have a traditional Greenlandic meal of Seal with a selection of side dishes.

Day 2
You will be given breakfast at 9 A.M and this will be a Mediterranean breakfast and this will be a
self-serve breakfast to enable you to have a wide variety of breakfast. You will then meet your
activity leader for your entire trip. They will then brief you on the activities you will take part in.
After this you will put on the required clothing, as instructed by your leader, and meet for the
activity at 10:30. The activity for the day will be climbing. Don’t worry it will only be a beginners
climb so that you will be ready for the tougher climbs later on in the week. You will not be going
far so you will come back to the hotel at 1:30 for your lunch. Your lunch will be a soup but other
options are available if required. You will go back out to climb in the afternoon and you will
progress onto a slightly harder rock. This may not happen if you are not confident or the rock is
unsafe. You will arrive back from your daily activity at 6 o’clock and dinner is available between
6:30 and 7:30. You are welcome to have dinner at any time and the dinner will be Mussels, again
there will be another option if required. You will then have the evening to enjoy the facilities
available to you in the Hotel. There is a Spa, Swimming Pool, Bar and the rooms are equipped
with a Television, a hot tub and a balcony with amazing views.
Day 3
Today you will have breakfast at 9:00 and this will again be a self-serve breakfast with a large
range of foods from all over the world. You will have breakfast with your leader again so that you
can discuss your day's events and your meeting times etc. You will then go back to your room and
collect your kit for the day and meet your leader back downstairs at 10:00. Your activity for the
day will be the advanced climbing if you are ready for some of the largest and toughest climbing
mountains in the world! You will be given packed lunch for the day meaning you can spend as
much time on the mountain as possible. You will arrive back at the hotel at around 6:30
depending on the time you wish to finish your climbing activity. You will then have the same
evening that you had on the previous evening.
Day 4
Today you will be having a later breakfast at 10 o'clock as your activity for the day is a light and
enjoyable activity. The activity for the day is dog sledding and this activity will start at around
11:30 and you will not be with your leader for this activity as you will need to be instructed by a
professional. You will be given a lesson on how to handle the dogs for the 30 minutes before lunch.
You will then have your lunch at the dog sledding centre. After lunch you will be able to have your
very own chance at handling the dogs. You will take control of the reins and you will be alongside
an instructor for safety reasons. You will have 1 hour and 30 minutes of control. You will then be
taken back to the complex where you will have a traditional Greenlandic soup which consists of
seal, whales, reindeer and sea birds.

Day 5
Today you will have breakfast at 9:00 as you will be visiting the Greenland national museum. The
museum is a 30 minute drive away from the Hotel meaning you will be leaving the hotel at
around 10:00. You will see the difference in the way the Greenlandic people have lived. There will
also be local art, handicrafts, architecture and archaeological findings. You will be enthralled to find
out about the place you are staying. You will have lunch at the café so you will have to take
around £10. This will include entrance fees and also the day at the museum. You will be heading
back to the hotel at around 2:30 and you will arrive back at 3:00. You will then have an afternoon
of doing as you desire. You can simply stay in your room and relax or you can enjoy the facilities on
offer to you. There will be evening entertainment available to you. There will be some fabulous acts
of singing, dancing and also children’s entertainment. This will begin at 6:30 and there will be a
barbeque free of charge. This will finish at 7:30 and after will be an adult’s talent contest. Anyone
over the age of 13 can enter. This will go on as long as it takes to decide a winner.

Day 6
Today you will be having breakfast at around 7:30 and again the breakfast will be the same as
usual. You will be told at breakfast what kit to prepare and then you will go to your room to sort
out all of your kit. You will be having a kit inspection at 8:30 as the kit for this activity is incredibly
important. Your activity will be a hike and then a camp out. You will leave the complex at around
9:00 and will begin your walk at 9:45. You will be walking from Narsarsuaq and you will be
camping out along your way. You will walk from 9:45 until 5:30. You will camp out wherever you
find a suitable place at around 5:30. This is part of the task to find a suitable place to camp over
night with good and safe surroundings. You will then be putting up your tents until about 5:45 and
then you will be able to rest after a day of walking. You will be given a stove to cook your food
and you will also be given food. You will be given the food and stove at the start and will have to
carry them for the day. You can make your tea at whatever time you wish. You will then be given
a free evening.
Day 7
You will be waking yourselves up today as this is part of the activity. You will make breakfast as
you wish and you will then set off once you are ready. You must set off before 10:00 and by this
time you must be up, dressed, have had breakfast, put your tent away and shared the kit out
between you. You will then follow the same path as the previous day but you will be going back to
where you started. You will be given things to find on the way back and you must find them all
before you arrive back. You will be told in which area they are on the map that is provided. This
makes you all work as a team to find the objects and you will need to carry the objects with you,
no matter how big or how small. This requires people to work as a team to work out who will take
the big objects and when they will swap. You will be given all the time you need to arrive back but
you are expected to be back at around 6:00 depending on how long it takes you to find the
objects. You will then have tea as soon as you arrive back at the hotel. You will be given the
evening in the large games room as a reward for your efforts over the past 2 days.

Day 8
Today is a day to look forward to as you will have a brunch at 11:00. This will be a full English
breakfast. You will be going snowmobiling around the local area. You will first be taught how to
drive the snowmobile but after that you are free to drive around as much as you want. You will be
able to drive to the local village and see the local houses and shops. If you wish to visit the shops
you will need to take some money. You will also be able to just stay on the snowmobiles and enjoy
the experience. You will finish the activity at around 5:30 and you will then return to the hotel on
the snowmobiles. Tea will be at 7:00 and you will be having seafood paella. You will then be able
to go back on the snowmobiles after tea if you wish or you can relax at the hotel.
Day 9
Today you are free to do what you like as it is a day for leisure. You can simply sleep for the whole
day or you can join in any of the activities the hotel is running. There will be many sports like
football, tennis, badminton, basketball and many more. You will be able to swim and go on the
waterslides either indoors or outdoors. You will be able to play golf for the day or go to a driving
range and get taught by a professional. You can choose your meal times and then enjoy your day.
Day 10
Today you will be having breakfast at 9:00 and you will be briefed on your day’s activity. You will
be going a boat trip around the icebergs. You will be absolutely fascinated by the wonderful
atmosphere and the surroundings. If you are all silent you will not hear a pin drop as the waters are
so calm and there is nothing around you. You will be blown away by everything that is around you
and you will appreciate the beauty of the island. The boat trip will last around 2 hours and after
this you will be taken around a local village to look at the lives of local people. You will be given an
insight into their lives before this but you will experience it for yourselves. You will then start to go
back to the hotel at around 4:30 and will arrive back at 6:00. You will then have tea at 6:30. In
the evening you will be going out as a group to watch the Northern Lights. You will be fascinated
by them and you will remember them forever.

Day 11
Today you will have an action packed last day. You will have an early breakfast at 7:30 and will
be leaving the hotel at 8:15. You will first be going to see the Viking ruins and you will follow that by
kayaking around the icebergs you saw the previous day. You will then see the whales when you go
whale spotting. You will begin with a 30 minute coach journey to the Viking ruins. You will then
look around the ruins and gather information on how the Vikings actually lived. This will take
around 2 hours. You will then travel to the icebergs and kayak around them so that you can have
a close up view of anything that you wished to see the previous day. You will spend 2 hours and 30
minutes in the kayaks and then go to the boat you were in on the previous day. You will then go
further out and see the whales and the seals. This is not a rarity to the people of Greenland but it
certainly will be for you. This is one of the greatest activities on the island and this is one of the most
enjoyed. You will be in the boat from 1:30 until 3:30 as this is when the whales are most likely to be
seen. After this you will then go back to the hotel and have tea at 6:00. In the evening you will be
packing for your journey home the day after. If you have finished packing you will be able to go to
the games room and relax.

Day 12
You will not need to be up early as you will have a brunch at 11:00 which again will be a full
English breakfast. You will leave the hotel at around 12:00 and you will arrive at the airport at
12:50. You will then check in and soon you will get on the plane from Nuuk to Iqaluit and then
