ARTICLE I – INTRODUCTION
§1.01 Name of Entity
This body is a non-profitable and an independent environmentally sustainable organization under
the oversight of Gallaudet University, affiliating to the Student Body Government that recognizes
us as GreenGrow.
ARTICLE II
§2.01 Mission
Our mission is to promote utilizing at peaceful, direct approach with creative communication
through exposition of global environmental issues at Gallaudet University, and to adopt solutions
for environmental sustainability and humanitarianism as we dedicate ourselves to conservation
and renewable improvements that foster a sustainable future for upcoming generations.
§2.02 Objectives
1. We, GreenGrow, encourage environmentally sustainable practices in our daily decision-
making processes, including building, operations planning and purchasing.
2. We, GreenGrow, undertake alternative practices and procedures to minimize negative
impacts on the environment.
3. We, GreenGrow, integrate environmental awareness and responsibility throughout the
Gallaudet community.
4. We, GreenGrow, accept the dutiful obligation to operate our organization atin Gallaudet
University, using appropriate economic, environmental, and social concerns.
5. We, GreenGrow, incorporate the valuable lessons of environmental sustainability and
humanitarianism through physically sowing seeds in the soil.
ARTICLE III – ELIGIBLE MEMBERS
§3.01 Membership
To be an eligible member, one must be currently enrolled as a graduate or undergraduate student
in the aforementioned university at the time of application. Under these conditions of membership,
one isare ergo allowed to participate and vote in weekly general meetings, along with inclusion in
various projects and other activities.
§3.02 Expectations
1. Any hazing practices either intentional or unintentional action—specifically related to the
mental or physical or emotional aggressions—but not limited to evidently degradation
whether or not through any electronic devices to individual(s) are strictly prohibited.
Otherwise, whoever engaging any type of hazing practices shall be removed of their
privilege of membership and be prevented from reentry for a minimum of four calendar
years.
2. Any discrimination—specifically oppression against the basis of gender identity, marital
status, race, disability, national origin, class, ethnicity, hearing status, sexual orientation,
personal appearance, academic status, age, religion, and any other identities—is
intolerable. Under any circumstance, any individual who indicatively violates above at
constant is enable the organization to suspend that person or people from any type of
activity for a semester.
ARTICLE IV - OFFICERS
§4.01 Expectations
In every official position, the responsibility requires the conduct of meeting be in order within
appropriate procedures and compiles with the specific principle as requires signing the agreement
form of dutiful service. Given the eligible official position, any undergraduate and/or graduate
student who has participated in two times of each community service, committees, garden activity
and meeting qualifies for electoral competition.

-President
1. To be responsible for the total operation of the organization.
2. To outline the work of the organization and keep members informed on all matters
pertaining to the organization.
3. To establish committees for special needs and/or programs.
4. To check the progress of the committee work and meet regularly with committee
chairpersons.
5. To make arrangements for meetings and make sure each member is notified.
6. Conduct the meeting effectively.
-Vice – President
1. To collaborate with the president.
2. Complete president’s duties as necessary.
3. To be responsible for observing the organizational procedures and processes in
accordance with the By-Laws.
4. To coordinate recommended committees.
5. To check on progress of work and to report to President and/or Chairperson regularly.
-Secretary
1. To keep a register of members.
2. To notify members of regular or called meetings.
3. To conduct the correspondences of the organization.
4. To execute and distribute to all members copies of the minutes of each meeting on the
website.
5. To be responsible for assembling and distributing the agenda for each meeting.
6. To maintain the files of the organization.
-Treasurer
1. To be in charge of the financial matters of the organization.
2. To work directly with the appropriate resource personnel and committee chairperson.
3. To keep the President/Chairperson informed of the financial status of the organization at
all times.
4. Deposit and withdraw money out of the bank.
5. To give financial reports at meetings.
6. To be responsible for seeing that expenditures do not exceed the budget of the
organization
-Communication Coordinator
(1) To keep each member and officer in same information.
(2) Collect the information about weekly meetings and committees.
(3) To keep daily announcement through any type of social networking.
(4) To develop the advertisements for public
-SBG representative
(1) To communicate the liaison between GreenGrow and SBG.
(2) To ensure be wearing proper dresses as outlined by SBG House Rules and Dress Code.
(3) Attend to every General Meeting of GreenGrow and SBG congress meeting.
(4) Arrange specific duty by majority voting.
-SBG Alternative representative
(1) To collaborate with SBG representative.
(2) Attend to every Official Meeting of GreenGrow and SBG special meeting.
(3) To ensure be wearing aforementioned dresses.
(4) Complete SBG representative’s duty if necessary.
(5) Arrange specific duty by majority voting.
ARTICLE V – INFRANSTRUCTURE PROCEDURE
§5.01 General Meeting
Every officer is responsible to provide the announcements, distribute the responsibilities, propose
creative activities relating to the environmentally sustainable concerns and if necessary, review
essential information to and by members that are eligible to vote.
§5.02 Ad Hoc Meeting
Any type of committee within the particular purpose serving for the environmental sustainable and
humanitarian solutions establishes based on majority vote through the General Meeting is ensuring
that maintains its taskforce activity, and weekly reports to the officers including members.
§5.03 Official Meeting
Every officer requires reviewing on all policies and information with the Advisor(s) and the
previous officer(s) before the initiation of conduct organization. Also within other requirements,
every officer acquires the knowledge of the By-Laws of GreenGrow, signs the agreement form of
dutiful service, improve any competency within appropriate meeting procedure and discuss any
issue that relates to the environmental sustainability and organization per se.
§5.04 Community Service
Any activity relating to the community service requires to take action at outside region of the
aforementioned university within minimum at two services each semester. To participate the
activity requires to have at ½ numbers of people in the GreenGrow and serves constantly at least
five hours each community service. Otherwise, the aforementioned organization shall be
suspended under the jurisdiction of Campus Activity.
§5.05 Policy of Voting
Every officer is eligible to vote when five or less members attend to each General meeting. To
meet the voting criteria requires (1) all members eligible voting, (2) taking any action by the
majority vote, (3) conducting by a showing of hands or by a different approach of voting, (4)
finding no indications of proxies or absentee votes, and (5) all meetings be conducted in a formal
yet might be informal.
§5.06 Out of Order
Whether any indicative action deems violation against the By-Laws, either of President or Vice –
President shall acquire the jurisdiction to suspend any voting operation for reviewing the entangled
coherent states with the members and officers. Otherwise, the officers and/or members, in order to
prevent any unjustified authorization, are allowed to review with the Advisor(s).
ARTICLE VI – ELECTIVE
§6.01 Electoral Operation
All official position shall be opened for elective annually. Every month of April, the Advisor(s)
is/are obligated to manage the electoral process and every member is eligible for nomination and
self-nominate; to appoint each officer requires majority voting of members in the General Meeting.
ARTICLE VII – PRINCIPLE OF VACANCY OFFICE
§7.01 Removal
Whoever is insubordinate and consistently resisted to the Article III shall be removed without
necessarily any process or voting. For the official and committee position is immediately vacant
and any property related to the aforementioned organization back forthwith. Whether or not
justified, the President and Advisor(s) shall adjudge the removal any position based on the degree
of sanctions.
§7.02 Vacancy
The vacancy process requires invoking by the organization if any officer has not notified to the
Advisor(s) or President or Vice-President or Secretary or Treasurer or Communication
Coordinator, of an absence. However, if any officer notifies and remains continuously absent for
at least four weeks, the organization shall be summoned to conduct the actions of vacancy process.
§7.03 Replacement
To change the official position requires the approval from whose eligible this position and the
Advisor(s). Also with requirement of agreement signature, the replacement consent form shall be
allowed to begin the transfer process and however, this process shall suspend if any complaint
information from any member of GreenGrow presents to officer(s) and/or Advisor(s) through any
kind of communication.
§7.04 Impeachment
Any removal of any officer requires ¾ of the vote from members and otherwise, officers. Any
property related to the aforementioned organization is required to be returned without any
postpones. The position shall be immediately vacant.
§7.05 Resignation
To resign, officer requires notification to, and within approval by, the President, Vice-President
and/or Advisor. If the officer has defied Article IV, they will endure the removal processes.
ARTICLE VIII – ADVISOR
§8.01 Expectations
The Advisor(s) obligates to ensure the organizational procedure and process in order, abiding by
the policy, rule of aforementioned university, and moral supporter(s). To earn the eligible position,
the requirement to meet the criteria is (1) to be a full-time faculty or staff member with
environmentally sustainable knowledge, (2) serving two-year term in each Spring semester of
academic year, (3) attending at least one meeting per semester, (4) to be liaison between officers,
faculties, and staff, (5) monitor organization activities, and (6) appointed by majority vote of
members and otherwise, officers.
§8.02 Vacancy
In any situation where the Advisor does not meet the aforementioned criteria shall be deemed for,
and begin, the vacancy process.
§8.03 Impeachment
For any reason to remove the Advisor, the impeachment process requires ¾ of the vote from
members and otherwise, officers. Any property related to the aforementioned organization is
required to be returned without any postpones. The position will be immediately vacant for an
upcoming Advisor.
§8.04 Resignation
To resign, members requires notification to the President and/or Vice-President within two weeks
and to return the property immediately. Under different circumstances, the Advisor who defies the
Article III shall follow the same consequence; the impeachment process.
ARTICLE IX – AMENDMENT
§9.01 Amendments
Making any adjustment or removal or amendment to these By-Laws may be proposed in writing
and the proposal requires distribute to every member and officer in meeting. To approve the
proposal requires to have at least ¾ of the majority vote. To review the proposal is eligible for
every member, officer and Advisor(s).
ARTICLE X – DISSOLUTION
§10.01 Dissolution
Upon the dissolution of the GreenGrow, remaining funds will be deposited in the local fund
account of the Campus Activity. The amount will be conserved for any further purpose related to
the environmentally sustainable matters.
