Cosgrove care- £9285 east renfrewshire- This organisation aim to improve the physical and mental health of service users through the implementation of their 'Paths to Health' initiative. The initiative will involve a number of activities aimed at supporting adults with learning disabilities including fitness classes, meal planning and a gardening project. July 2013
The Butterfly club - £10,000 north ayrshire- The grant will be used to organise and run a summer club for children with severe learning disabilities. July 2013
£47,620 This group will provide young people aged 18 to 24 years, who have a diverse range of disabilities, with the opportunity to access specialist bikes to enable them to fully participate in outdoor cycling activities.The one-year project will benefit up 160 people in Edinburgh, Lothians, Fife and Dundee City. The grant fund a full-time project co-ordinator post, training costs, van hire and specially adapted bicycles.
£9834 Rainbows and Puddles Ltd. is a new social enterprise that was set up in February 2014. Sessions will consist of outdoor play and learning to promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity and to give children greater experience of the natural environment. These sessions will take place in the grounds of the nursery and nearby woodland areas and country parks. The group will use funding to pay for equipment for use outdoors, IT equipment and outdoor fencing in order to set up the nursery.
The project will provide children with the opportunity to play, explore and learn outdoors as well as to develop new skills. The sessions will also involve time for children to take part in sensory play, yoga and reflection activities. The group are keen to make the sessions as accessible as possible and have children with autism and ADHD on their waiting list who will be supported to take part in activities.
