 A natural environment is a term that collectively refers to
all the living beings and non living things surrounding
us, occurring naturally on earth.
 Everything that surrounds us- the earth , the air , food
chains , plants , animals , humans , water , sky , etc
makes our environment.
TYPES OF NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
 I) The livingenvironment – Plants , Animals , Human
beings
 II) The non livingenvironment – Oil , rock , air , water , sun ,
moon.
TYPES OF RESOURCES
 Natural Resources– Natural resources are the freely,
naturally available resources to us such as the
land , the air , the water the sun , and so forth.
 Renewable Resources– The natural that resources can
be reproduced within a few years or decades,
e.g. trees , are called renewable resources.
 Non renewable resources– The natural resources that
can not be reproduced at the rate similar to the
rate of their consumption are called non
renewable resources.
EXHAUSTIBLE AND NON EXHAUSTIBLE
RESOURCES
 Non exhaustible resources– Infinitely available natural
resources that the living being of earth can never
consume to finish them are non exhaustible
resources.
 Exhaustible resources – Natural resources that are finite in
quantity and recurring use of these, is reducing
their quantities at fast rate are exhaustible
resources.
DIVISION OF RESOURCES

HOW ENVIRONMENT IS CRUCIAL FOR US?
Tree canopies ,
vegetation, and
grassy area captures
and filter rainwater ,
reducing the amount
of salt, oil and
pollutants flowing from
roads and lawns into
nearby waterways.
Hiking can help fend
off heart disease ,
hypertension ,
diabetes,
osteoporosis, arthritis
, and anxiety. It fights
obesity by burning on
average 100 calories
for every mile walked!
