 Clean Monday or Lent Monday is the first day of Great Lent
(Saracosti) during which families go for a picnic in the
countryside and fly kites.
 The first day of May is the largest spring celebration
symbolizing the rebirth of nature! On that day people create a
flower wreath.
 Traditionally, the man has to ask the permission to marry his
beloved one to the woman’s father and her family.
 The Independence Day in Greece is celebrated on the 25th
March.
