Science
The three pillars of science are inquiry, exploration, and learning. You may use the materials
on the internet to make science more engaging for students both within and outside of the
classroom. I've put up a list of some of the top scientific websites and platforms for you
below so you can easily access these materials.
This decision was made utilizing a variety of high-end search analytic techniques, as well as
my own experience blogging about and evaluating a number of these websites.

Check out this compiled list of some of the greatest YouTube channels that discuss

These channels offer a variety of video material, such as tutorials, explainers, guides, news,

Kids' science websites
This is a list of scientific websites that I specifically selected for children and young learners.
The websites include a variety of learning tools, including interactive games, quizzes, virtual
experiments, and many others. They may be used by parents and teachers to teach science
to children in engaging and enjoyable ways.
podcasts about science for educators and kids
You can find some of the greatest instructional podcasts on the subject of science in this
collection. These podcasts may be found on a variety of podcasting platforms, including
Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and many others. The majority of these podcasts
are produced or co-hosted by educators and instructors.
Dictionary for students and instructors of science
You may obtain some of the top science dictionaries on this website to aid students in their
study of science. Students may search for and find definitions of technical terms, look at
drawings, and explore a variety of additional learning resources.
Kids' science YouTube channels
Check out this list of some of the top scientific YouTube channels that offer kid-friendly
instructional video material.
Countrywide Geographic
Your one-stop shop for all things scientific and natural is NAT Geo. The worlds of animals,
the environment, history, culture, travel, archaeology, and other subjects are all covered in
the tales, subjects, and international series covered.
BrainPOP
To assist you in teaching various science concepts in the classroom, the science department
of BrainPOP provides a wide range of video courses. Additional teaching aids for these
courses include worksheets, visual organizers, quizzes, and many others.
In BrainPOP, there are several units, and each unit has a number of lessons. The Earth
System unit is among many others, as include Ecology and Behavior, Energy, Matter and
Chemistry, Space, Weather, Forces of Nature, and Scientific Inquiry. Additionally, there is
Brain POP Jr., a version of BrainPOP created especially for children.
Michael Mack
For science instructors and students, Mosa Mack is an intriguing resource. Students are
given a range of brief animated riddles by Mosa Mack, which they must solve utilizing the
information they have learned from watching videos. In order to teach science, Mosa Mack
uses an inquiry-based method and offers materials that follow the Next Generation Science
Standards. Each of the three lessons in a unit of scientific instruction from Mosa Mack
"progresses upwards on Blooms Taxonomy and the Depth of Knowledge (DOK) chart."
Each lesson also includes a number of practical exercises as well as other resources (such
as visual organizers, PowerPoint presentations, tests, lesson plans, etc.). Classes for grades
4 through 8 can use Mosa Mack. Teachers are given an inquiry scale, which allows the
lessons to be leveled up or down based on the requirements of the class, for differentiation

The University of Nottingham is responsible for producing this fantastic work. Another
fantastic interactive periodic table is Ptable. On Ptable, chemical elements are arranged
according to their atomic number, characteristics, and electron configuration. For additional

Math and science interactive simulations are widely available on PhET. To engage with the
simulations, students can utilize sliders and tools like rulers, stopwatches, and
thermometers. Students receive instant feedback for any adjustment they make, allowing
them to test their scientific hypotheses as they study. Additionally, there is an iOS and
Android app for PhET.
Exploration Education
Students may better comprehend how science functions in daily life by using the interesting
information provided by Discovery Education. Virtual field excursions, films, text, podcasts,
interactives, courses, curriculum packs, teacher toolkits, pre-made activities, and many more
types of content are included in the content. Teachers may create engaging classes and
tests with the help of the resources provided by Discovery Education.
Smithsonian Learning Laboratory
It's called the Smithsonian Learning Lab "a free, interactive platform that enables teachers
access to the Smithsonian's millions of digital materials and offers simple tools for uploading,
downloading, adapting, creating, and sharing with other teachers and students. You may
easily build lessons and activities tailored to any subject or grade by combining Smithsonian

Standards for the Next Generation of Science
The K–12 scientific content standards known as the Next Generation Science Standards
(NGSS) are intended to provide teachers and other educators "the flexibility to construct
classroom learning experiences that spark students' interests in science and prepare them
for college, professions, and citizenship." The Next Generation Science Standards Resource
Library gives users access to resources that can support their implementation. To aid with

Science Partners
Science Buddies offers engaging STEM teaching materials for your classroom. These
consist of worksheets, pre-made exercises, grading rubrics, STEM projects, video tutorials,
and lesson plans, among many other things.
Scientist Naked
A group of scientists and professionals run the website The Naked Scientist. It offers
interesting content like podcasts, essays, experiments, discussions of scientific issues,
interviews with scientists and experts, and much more. The fields of biology, chemistry, earth
science, engineering, life, medicine, physics, space, and technology are all covered by The
Naked Scientist.
EdHeads
the Edheads "a website that offers free math and science games and activities that
encourage critical thinking. Select from options like Stem Cell Heart Repair, Virtual Knee
Surgery, and Simple Machines. Every activity complies with regional and national norms ".
Research Daily
ScienceDaily "includes breaking news on the most recent advancements in science,
medicine, the environment, technology, and more — from renowned academic institutions,
scholarly journals, and research institutions.
Visitors can browse more than 500 distinct subjects, organized into 12 primary categories
(mentioned under the top navigation menu), including the social sciences, business, and
education, as well as the medical and health sciences, physical sciences, and technology ".

Technology Friday
Science Friday offers a wide range of educational resources to make learning science
interesting and pleasant. A few examples of these are science news, science stories, STEM
resources, learning activities, podcasts, and films.
Gizmos
Gizmos "are interactive virtual laboratories and simulations for grades 3–12 in math and
science. A total of 400 Gizmos that are in line with the most recent standards assist teachers
in introducing innovative STEM learning experiences to the classroom."
Inq-ITS
the Inq-ITS "NGSS-aligned simulations are available on a platform for scientific education.
Students demonstrate their knowledge, and teachers receive immediate, actionable data to
guide whole-class instruction or one-on-one assistance. Rex, the virtual coach, offers each
student specialized assistance to support their research."
Genius Generation
An educational website called Generation Genius provides K–8 video courses that are
standards-based and cover a range of science and math subjects. Each video lesson
includes a thorough lesson plan, discussion questions, and an assessment section with
three different kinds of assessments: online quizzes, PDF quizzes, and exit tickets.
Additionally, Generation Genius provides a monthly homekit that is filled with tools for
youngsters to do hands-on science projects at home with adult supervision.
