3. Degree degree- the degree is the number that the exponents add up to. Exponent problem: 1+2+3=6 The degree equals 6
4. Line behavior If there is no exponent then the line passes through the x-axis If the exponent is an even number than the line bounces off the x-axis If the number is over 3 and odd then it squiggles through the x-axis
5. Axis points On -(x+1)(x-3)^2(x+4)^3 the 1 is -1,-3 is 3,and 4 is -4 on the graph. The sign in front of the number makes it opposite on the graph
