SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
As part of my various communications duties at EmblemHealth, I assisted in developing proposals for EmblemHealth
and Artisan, itsWorkers Compensation patient management and bill review service. This included multiple proposals
and letters of intent to prospective client companies, answering New York City and New Yotk State requests for
proposals.
A founding member of the Fort Greene Strategic Neighborhood Action Partnership (SNAP), I cowrote the grant that
established the organiation. Drafted a $125,000 federal Ryan White grant for the creation of the Fort Greene HIV
Community Development Program and served as its Executive Director. I identified and assisted in drafting multiple
grant proposals for participating community development and community AIDS service programs. Created a five-year
strategic plan for the Program, presenting both to New York State for implementation and continued State support.
Developed a strategic five-year plan for the Fort Greene SNAP. I help create and address how to measure the
program’s results. Researched and developed new funding streams using the Foundation Library.
Between and during these engagements, I have consulted with arts organizations to write grants, either as a volunteer
or as a paid consultant. I wrote original and boilerplate text for multiple funding opportunities. Wrote grants for
several not-for-profit theater companies. Most recently, I drafted a successful grant for ongoing support for Elevator
Repair Service.
Served on the Board of Directors for the Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center. Co-chaired Brooklyn Adolescent Service-
Providers Network for AIDS Prevention (BASNAP). Created and co-chaired the 718 AIDS Coalition that brought
awareness of the impact of AIDS on the outer boroughs of New York City. In 2015, I was elected to the Board of
Directors of Elevator Repair Service. Served on the 10th
Anniversary Development Board for the Red Bull Theater
Company in 2012 and 2013, and continue to work on their annual Gala planning committee.
