The passive voice is formed using the verb "be" plus the past participle of the main verb. In the passive, the object of the active sentence becomes the subject of the passive sentence. For example, in the active sentence "Mary helped the boy", the passive would be "The boy was helped by Mary". However, some verbs like happen, sleep, come, and seem cannot be used in the passive voice.
