This document outlines the rules and structure for a multi-round math competition for 8th grade students. It will have 3 rounds: 1) an icebreaker round with 5 multiple choice questions for teams to compete; 2) a mind twister round with 5 open-ended questions for qualifying teams; and 3) a final genius round where the winning team members compete head-to-head with individual questions to determine the overall math genius winner. The rounds get progressively more difficult and narrow the field down to the top individual performer.
