2. ● Trevor Traina sits on the board of Grace
Cathedral, one of the largest faith
communities in San Francisco.
● As one of its core tenets, the Grace Cathedral
community is deeply committed to sponsoring
ministries and other initiatives designed to
help individuals in need.
3. ● For example, the congregation’s Dinner with
Grace program allows individuals to enjoy a
warm meal and engage in meaningful
conversation with each other as they dine.
● The church also organizes a Jail Ministry
program in collaboration with several Episcopal
churches.
● Among its many objectives, this social outreach
initiative aims to help parents who have been
incarcerated reconnect with or remained
connected to their children.
4. ● Another group supported by the church, the
Stitching Ministry, calls on individuals with a
knitting talent to create homemade mittens,
scarves, and other warm items that the church
then donates to newborns and communities in
need.
● Between the months of November and March,
when San Francisco experiences the coldest
weather of the year, Grace Cathedral teams up
with several other congregations in the city to
run the Winter Interfaith Shelter, which ensures
that no one must endure a cold winter night
without a roof over his or her head.
