The document describes developing an employee payroll system using an E-R diagram and relational database implementation. It involves creating tables to store employee, salary, allowance and loan data. Processes like adding/modifying employee records, generating pay slips, sanctioning loans and collecting installments are discussed. The system is implemented using FoxPro to automate payroll activities and maintain accurate employee records.
Which is the primary key which unlocks the value of the Big Data? In a world awash with data, I argue in this presentation that narratives play a crucial role in making sense of the information. I look at the role of narratives in the data-scarce paradigm and look at some familiar consulting narratives. I then examine the implications of such narratives and look at how these narratives would change in the emerging data-ubiquity paradigm
This guide provides instructions for assembling a clarinet and producing good sounds. It outlines how to properly insert and align the reed, attach all of the instrument pieces, and play the first few notes. The document teaches beginners how to hold the clarinet, form an embouchure, and practice simple rhythms and melodies using notes G through C. It emphasizes proper care of the instrument and reed when finished playing.
The document discusses a novel approach to handling ellipsis, or omitted words, in domain-specific question answering systems. It classifies ellipsis into three types and proposes solutions for each. Type 1 is handled using prepositions, Type 2 uses grouping based on noun phrases, and Type 3 uses semantic relationships. The approach identifies complete queries, maps entities to the domain, analyzes queries to handle ellipsis in subsequent questions, and evaluates performance against other QA systems.

This document discusses the importance of context and narratives for unlocking business value from big data analytics. It argues that narratives provide context to data and are important for the "last mile" of data. The document also discusses some issues with traditional "best practices" approaches to big data, including that they can be contextually blind. It suggests that future business analytics will need to contextualize across different data types and bridge the gap to more strategic decision making. The document advocates using narrative thinking to reimagine products and building storified products using narratives.

Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

NOTE: Print out Note pages and highlight the key words to use as your prompts. Do not read the script when presenting! If you do not have a projector and lap-top computer for PowerPoint slides, print the slides to use as a flip chart, or write the points on a whiteboard, etc. Good evening. My name is _______________ and I am a ____________ with GNLD. It is my pleasure to welcome you to this “GNLD Weight-Loss Experience” this evening. As I look around the room, I see many faces that are familiar and I also see faces that are not so familiar. I certainly hope to get to meet many of you personally before the evening is over. But to get things off to aa good start, may I see, through a show of hands, those of you who are being introduced to GNLD for the first time? [Raise hand] Let’s give our guests a warm welcome. [Applause] We want to thank you for coming this evening. Tonight we are going to talk about something VERY IMPORTANT – your health and the high quality products from GNLD that can change your life. And then we’ll talk about what I believe to be an EQUALLY EXCITING part – a financial opportunity that is available to you through GNLD. We’ll show you how, on a part-time basis, you can earn enough money to do the things you want to do and to make your own dreams and goals become a reality. Rest assured, you are under no obligation whatsoever. We simply want to tell you about our wonderful products and the exciting opportunity that comes with them. What you do with that information is then up to you. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the evening! Before we begin, let me briefly tell you how I became associated with GNLD. [ … Give brief ID …] # SPEAKER 1: Introduction & GNLD [No longer than 10-12 minutes on Introduction & Company]
As there are a number of guests here tonight who are new to GNLD, before we talk about our wonderful products, I’d like to tell you a little about this amazing company – GNLD . # [If using whiteboard or flip-chart, simply write ‘GNLD’ at top left of board] . SPEAKER 1 (cont.): Introduction & GNLD
GNLD International is a company that has a history going back over 47 years , having its foundation back in 1958. [Write: ‘ - >47 years’] . The name itself comes from the names of three companies that operated throughout different parts of the world and combined to form one global company. The companies were ‘Golden Products’, ‘Neo-Life Products’ and the ‘Diamite’ company. Hence the name “G-NL-D International”. # GNLD currently has operations in over 50 countries around the world [Write: ‘ - >50 countries’] … # … and controls its own product research, development and manufacturing. [Write: ‘ - OWN products’]. As you can see, GNLD is not just a “fly-by-night” company that is here today and gone tomorrow! It is a company that you can trust and have confidence in as, over all these years, GNLD has literally helped millions of people right around the world – and continues to do so every day. # You won’t see GNLD products in your local pharmacy, supermarket or health food store. Instead, you can buy direct from the company - the manufacturer - thus cutting out the middle men. [Write: ‘ - YOU buy DIRECT’]. This means that you not only get the products at a lower price but, as you use the products and experience their benefits, you can share what you have experienced with others … and therein lies an exciting opportunity that you will hear about later. But what makes GNLD so different from other companies? … Why are we so excited about it? [Write: ‘DIFFERENCE’ at top right of board]. # SPEAKER 1 (cont.): Introduction & GNLD
Let me quickly explain by using what we call # the five ‘P’s : [Put 5 ‘ P ’s on board in vertical line] # The first ‘P’ is GNLD’s stated PURPOSE . [Write: ‘ P urpose’] GNLD is not in business just to “ sell products”: Our purpose is “to make a positive difference in people’s lives”. We do this by what we call “Personal Health Empowerment” [Write: ‘- Empowerment’] In other words, showing people how to take control of their own personal health, rather than letting it control them. And by learning how to do this, they are then empowered to share this same information with others. In fact, at any one time around the world, there are several hundred thousand GNLD people sharing with others how to take care of their own personal health and wellbeing. What other companies could claim this? It is why we say that GNLD is “People Empowering People”. # The second ‘P’ or reason that GNLD is different is found in the company’s PRINCIPLES or Values. [Write: ‘ P rinciples / Values’] Without going through them all, I just want to mention one or two: Possibly the most important is GNLD’s adherence to “Absolute Integrity” in everything it does and says. The company does not make any claims it cannot substantiate. There is no need for any exaggeration. And it is a principle that all GNLD Distributors must abide by. Another is the principle that “People are No. 1”. In GNLD, because our purpose is to make a positive difference in people’s lives, our whole philosophy is to work for the benefit of others - to empower them! In fact, in GNLD, you cannot be truly successful unless you have this attitude. # SPEAKER 1 (cont.): Introduction & GNLD
That brings us to the third ‘P’: the GNLD PRODUCTS . [Write: ‘ P roducts’] What you will find is that GNLD people are almost ‘fanatical’ about the GNLD products … they are just SO good! The reason for this is the company’s unique philosophy about its product development. GNLD will only use products that are “Based in Nature” - that is, what GNLD calls “human natural”, or “what Nature intended humans to eat”. So all of the nutrients in our nutrition products, for example, are derived from actual foods - they are not synthetic or made from non-food (even though it may be “natural”) sources. But the products are also “Backed by Science”. GNLD was the first company of its kind to set up its own “Scientific Advisory Board” of leading scientists who direct the overall product development and ensure, through ongoing research, that the products do exactly what we say they do. They also ensure that absolute quality is guaranteed. The end result: products that really do work! # The fourth ‘P’ is, I believe, just as exciting as the products … and that is the GNLD PLAN. [Write: ‘ P lan’] This Plan enables everyone - no matter what their background, education, culture or position - to benefit not only from the products themselves, but also from the financial rewards that come about as they share what they have learned with others. This comes about because you can buy your products direct from the company - and you do this at a discount! You can then make money either by selling the products yourself or, better still, by simply recommending them to others and being paid bonuses based on the sales that result. In fact by simply doing this, you can end up getting your own products totally free ! As this grows, you will find that you have a source of extra income that can give you financial freedom and other rewards that enable you to fulfil your dreams in life! # SPEAKER 1 (cont.): Introduction & GNLD
The fifth or last ‘P’ are the GNLD PEOPLE. [Write: ‘ P eople’] You will find that GNLD people are different from a lot of other people. Why? Firstly because they share the same Principles as GNLD itself - principles like “Absolute Integrity”; and “People Being No. 1”. They are also different because they are using GNLD Products and are therefore experiencing a lot of the health benefits that come from these products: They often look younger than they are, act younger, and have more vitality and energy! Many are also experiencing the exciting financial and lifestyle benefits that come from the GNLD Plan … including great travel opportunities. But you will also find that GNLD people simply enjoy having a lot of “FUN ”. They share common goals and enjoy getting together to share good times. So those are the 5 ‘P’s that we believe make GNLD ‘different’ from other companies – and I think you can see why we are so excited about it. … But tonight we are going to add one extra ‘P’: # . … PROOF. [Write: ‘ P ROOF’] Because tonight what you are going to see and hear is the Proof that GNLD products really DO work – and why. Tonight we are fortunate to have one of our very successful distributors with us who is going to briefly talk about a most important subject – your health – and weight-management in particular … and how the products from GNLD can help you take control of YOUR health and change your life. # So please welcome to the front of the room __________________ , who is a _____________ with GNLD. [Applause] SPEAKER 1 (cont.): Introduction & GNLD
Thank you. As ___________ has just outlined, GNLD is certainly an amazing company. Let’s give _______________ a big round of applause. [Applause] My name is ________________ and I am a _____________ with GNLD. I have been with this wonderful company for ______________ . This evening, I would like to talk to you about a most IMPORTANT subject: Your Health - and Weight Management in particular . But before I begin, let me ask you a couple of questions: Who here this evening would like to experience better health? [Raise hand] Who knows someone who would like to lose some weight? [Raise hand] Who would like to look better themselves, [Raise hand] ... feel better, [Raise hand] … and live longer? [Raise hand]. You know whenever I ask those questions I always get the same response. Because we all want a lifetime of good health and we all want to look good! And tonight I want to introduce you to a most amazing program from GNLD that will help you do just that. This program is called “GR CONTROL”. Let me tell you about it! # SPEAKER 2: Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control [No longer than 15-20 minutes on Product / GR 2 Control Section]
GR Control brings together the very latest thinking on what is required for successful weight management and weight loss - it is the science of successful weight loss . # GR Control is a unique and exclusive program available only from GNLD that will help people to safely and effectively gain the body and the health they want: # to feel good about themselves, # to lose body fat and maintain lean muscle mass, and # to gain better control of their health in many other ways. GR Control helps people achieve this by helping to control the glycaemic response to the foods they eat. That is, GR Control will help stop fat being stored on their body and burn their fat stores as an energy source. # So they not only lose weight, but increase their energy levels throughout the day. GR Control is not just about losing weight… it is also about gaining better health! SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
Slide Version dated: 31.05.2005 GNLD WEIGHT-LOSS EXPERIENCE - AUS Like all GNLD products, GR Control is backed by the latest scientific research : In this particular case, this is the science of Glycaemic Response Control : the control of blood glucose levels in the body through dietary and lifestyle habits that allow the body to burn the foods you eat for fuel and minimise their storage as fat on your body. Over 3 years of intensive research and development by GNLD’s Scientific Advisory Board, based on over 20 years of glycaemic control science, was undertaken before the program was released. This has since been backed by a further five years of ongoing real-world success stories , in different countries throughout the world. The science is so well established that Glycaemic Response Control is the science of the future when it comes to weight control and health promotion. # And, at this point in time, GNLD’s GR Control is the only complete weight-loss program listed with Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration. # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
Gaining weight is a complex issue, but can be broken down to four main factors: # Eating too many highly refined/processed foods that are saturated in kilojoules from refined carbohydrates and processed fats, to the detriment of other nutrients. Consumption of too much energy-dense foods as we call them results in them being converted to and stored as fat on your body. # A sedentary lifestyle , where we fail to participate in regular physical activity, not only means that we burn less kilojoules throughout the day, but it can also reduce our body’s metabolic furnaces where foods are burned as a fuel source. In essence, we burn less and store more: resulting in weight gain! # “ Survival of the fittest” dictated that for our ancestors to survive periods of famine, they had to evolve an efficient means of storing the foods we eat as an energy source to protect them in times of famine. Today, we don’t have to worry so much about food being scarce, nor do we have to chase the antelopes in order to eat... but we still have inherited our ancestors’ efficient mechanisms of storing body fat. Unfortunately, the majority of us wish we didn’t! # Poor glycaemic response control relates to how our body produces, uses, and controls glucose. While being essential for cellular energy production, too much glucose can have dire consequences when it comes to health and weight control. So let’s look at what happens when we eat: # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
You have probably all heard of the term “Glycaemic Index” as it relates to a food. The Glycaemic Index is simply a measure of how much and how quickly glucose enters your blood stream as a result of consuming a food containing carbohydrates. # For example, if you eat a raw carrot, it takes some time for your body to break down the carrot and digest the carbohydrates it contains, giving a blood glucose level over time like this. # But if you cook the same carrot, making the nutrients more available, you get a larger and quicker rise in the blood glucose levels, as shown. Now look at what happens if you consume a can of soft drink: # A can of soft drink contains around 40 grams of sugar which is rapidly converted into glucose in the blood, giving a response like this. So for each food, it is possible to work out its “Glycaemic Index” as a measure of how much glucose appears in the blood after a given time. # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
The “Glycaemic Response” , on the other hand, is what your body then does when your blood sugar levels rise as a result of eating or drinking high Glycaemic Index foods. Glucose can be a double-edged sword . It is an essential source of energy and the primary fuel source for brain function. So some glucose is necessary and, for an adult, at any one time there should be around 6 grams circulating in the blood. But when too much is present, it can be potentially damaging … to the circulatory system and other cells and tissues throughout the body. So the body has to act to protect itself once the levels go above the ‘danger level’. # You can imagine what happens when we consume a can of soft drink and, on top of the existing 6 grams, we increase the blood sugar levels with an additional 40 grams! To deal with the excess glucose, the body has a sophisticated control system . # The pancreas is stimulated to release insulin , a powerful hormone. # The insulin acts to remove the excess sugar from your blood so as to normalise the blood sugar levels. # It does this by storing the glucose in the cells of the body. Once inside the cells, the body must do something with all the glucose. Some of it is burned as an energy source, but the excess is promptly converted and stored for later use… as FAT! Unfortunately, this can result in what we call the “Insulin Trap” … # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
You start the day with what you might think is a healthy “low-fat” breakfast: for example, cereal, toast and orange juice. But immediately the carbohydrates in that breakfast are converted to glucose in the blood and your blood sugar levels rise. Now your body has to protect itself, so it releases insulin and the glucose is stored, in the cells, as FAT. By mid-morning, your blood sugar levels are low as a result of the insulin release, and your body now needs more energy. But because it doesn’t want to burn fat - just in case it needs it later, you start to feel hungry and so you have morning tea - perhaps a coffee with sugar and a cream bun or biscuit! Up go the blood sugar levels again and the cycle is repeated. # Your Glycaemic Response is literally out of control! We call this the Glycaemic Rollercoaster! You are on a dangerous Glycaemic Rollercoaster of high and low blood sugar levels and on-off insulin release. In the short-term, your body is primed to store the glucose in cells and convert it to fat… that is, you gain weight in the form of body fat! # In addition, your energy levels fluctuate throughout the day as a result of the swinging glucose levels in your blood! Not a good state to be in! A diet that is high in processed convenience foods, containing mainly refined carbohydrates, invariably leads to these fluctuating energy levels. # The end result of course is that you continue to store more and more fat and you cease burning fat as energy. Over time this can set you up for a number of chronic diseases, one of which is Type 2 diabetes, as your body’s mechanism for controlling glucose wears out! # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
How do you escape the Glycaemic Rollercoaster and the ‘Insulin Trap’? # By getting your glycaemic response under control through: keeping blood glucose levels from rising sharply and keeping insulin levels stable. This is done by selecting foods which do not produce a high insulin release, and by maintaining a more consistent rather than fluctuating level of glucose throughout the day. As a result, you will: minimise fat storage, and burn more fat as you utilise it as an energy source. These are the principles behind the GR Control Weight-Loss Program and it will make the difference between success and failure. Here’s how it works: # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
With the GR Control Weight Loss program you can put the power of Glycaemic Response Control to work for you by having your metabolism work for weight loss, not weight gain! GR Control will help to: # stabilise your blood glucose levels; # keep your insulin levels low and steady; # prolong your energy; # reduce your feelings of hunger. But there is more to GR Control than that! GR Control also helps to provide an explosion of other health benefits: # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
Science is always at the basis of GNLD’s products and GR Control is a perfect example of our dedication to this science. We have the scientific proof this program works: # Human clinical research was conducted under the direction of our Scientific Advisory Board member Dr Arianna Carughi. Her research showed that GR Control Meal Replacement Protein Shakes provide a controlled glycaemic response in the body, keeping glucose from spiking, insulin levels from rising and keeping you off the Glycaemic Rollercoaster and out of the Insulin Trap. # These GR Control clinical trials were presented in October 2001 at the 42nd Annual Meeting of the American College of Nutrition to the scientific community and subsequently published in their peer-reviewed journal. # A successful human trial was also conducted here in the South Pacific Region prior to the launch of the product. This 10-week program: included free-living people in real-world situations. Amongst just 20 members of our World Team who participated, a total of 178 kg was lost by the end of 10 weeks… an average of just over 8 kg per person in 10 weeks. This is an ideal rate of weight loss. Some of these participants are continuing on the program and further reducing their weight, whilst gaining in their health! So let’s look at the GR Control program: # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
# GR Control is a simple, multi-faceted program that … # … helps you gain control of your eating habits and … # ...achieve your weight-loss goals quickly, comfortably and safely. The program focuses on your body’s own natural weight-loss mechanisms: # By helping your body avoid falling into the ‘Insulin Trap,’ … # … you keep your fat burning doors open … # … and your fat storage doors closed. # While training your body to eat foods that maximise nutrient utilisation and energy output you become a fat-burning machine, which prepares you for a lifetime of proper weight and good health! So what does the program consist of? # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
At the core of the GR Control Program is our Meal Replacement Protein Shake . # This is a high protein, low fat, low but smart carbohydrate formula, developed in GNLD’s own food laboratories. # It not only helps control your body’s glycaemic response, but each nutritious, delicious serving is a complete meal replacement fortified with a broad spectrum of vitamins and minerals for nutritional adequacy. Each serve also delivers 18 grams of the highest quality protein, complete in all 22 amino acids and essential for the maintenance of lean muscle tissue. There is also only 8 grams of low insulin-inducing carbohydrates per serve, which supports stable blood glucose and insulin levels for optimum glycaemic control. This slow-release carbohydrate also maintains energy levels until the next mini-meal and spares protein from being cannibalised as an energy source. To prove its effectiveness, the GR Control Meal Replacement Protein Shake has been tested and proven in human clinical trials to deliver a controlled glycaemic response. It comes in two delicious flavours and is made on water for ease and convenience. # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
An important constituent of any weight-loss program is the ability to feel full on less food. This in part is determined by the feedback mechanism that exists between the stomach and the brain when food is present in the stomach. The GR Control Appetite Reducer Fibre Capsules play a critical role in regulating the signals sent to your brain telling you that you are full, thereby aiding satiety. # They do this primarily through the action of the key ingredient glucomannan , also known as konjac, which has the unique property of being able to expand up to 50 times its weight in the presence of adequate water. # In addition, the Appetite Reducer also contains six other natural fibre sources that help slow carbohydrate digestion and absorption into the blood stream, thereby further supporting the glycaemic response. # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
But the GR Control weight-management program is not just about taking these three products. It is about maintaining the fat-burning and reducing fat storage right throughout the day. # This is achieved by having small mini-meals between the main meals of the day, … # … drinking plenty of water, … # … and undertaking regular, though not necessarily strenuous, exercise. # But most importantly you learn to select those foods that are less likely to cause a rapid increase in blood glucose levels and thereby avoid the “Insulin Trap”. # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
To help you understand and be able to simply follow the whole program, the GR Control comes with a “Success Guide”. It is designed to help ensure you reach your goal. This is your road-map to success, giving you all the details of the program that you need. # An important part of GR Control is that it teaches you how to eat . In fact the GR Control program recommends that you eat five times a day to effectively maintain metabolism, stabilise glycaemic response and burn fat tissue as a fuel source. This consists of: 2 X Meal Replacement Protein Shakes; 2 X Mini-Meals; 1 X Main Meal of your choice. # An important component of the Success Guide is the sample menu plans and an overall plan of how the program fits together. # The “Success Guide” also includes tips on exercise , the need for plenty of water , and other aspects of the program. # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
In helping you choose your foods appropriately, the GR Control program also includes a handy “Enjoy & Avoid” booklet that highlights which foods you can enjoy, knowing they will not interfere with your weight-loss program; and which foods you should limit so as to maintain your glycaemic response control and lose weight - even when you eat out! It’s not restrictive and you’ll be amazed at just what you CAN eat! But it helps you learn which foods send you onto the Glycaemic Rollercoaster and which don’t. Most people, when they go on the GR Control program, find that they do not get hungry, they have a large variety of foods to choose from, and, with the additional mini-meals, they find they are almost eating more on the GR Control program than they were before - yet they lose weight! # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
When you start on the GR Control program, you will find you have everything you need in your Starter Kit. This includes: The GR Control products themselves; The “Success Guide”; The “Enjoy & Avoid” booklet; Motivational audio tapes and CDs to help keep you focused and to help you understand more about losing weight; A booklet to help you track your results; Plus other items that form an integral part of the program. Like those who have followed this program before you, you will find that GR Control really is the “Science of Successful Weight-Loss” … and that it represents the last weight-loss program you will ever need! # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
In fact we have several people here tonight who have already experienced the benefits of GR CONTROL and how it can change your life, and I am going to ask two of them to tell you about it. Let me first invite __________________ to come up and tell you his/her story. [Applause] [First product testimony on benefits of GR Control. Keep it brief and to the point and include a call to action, such as “I know that just as I received benefits from GR Control and lost weight, you can too. I encourage all of you to try it. It really can change your life”.] Thank you _______________. Who would like to experience that type of benefit? Well you can! Let’s show _______________ our appreciation for sharing her/his story with us. [Applause] And we have someone else who wants to share their experience with us tonight. Please welcome ____________________ to the front. __________________ is a _______________ with GNLD. [Applause]. [Second product testimony on GR Control. Again brief and again with a call to action.] Thank you ________________ . Please show __________________ our appreciation for sharing that with us. [Applause]. So you see, the GR Control program really DOES help you to lose weight, to have better health, and even to have more energy and vitality. And as you have heard, it is easy and simple to follow. As we said at the beginning, our long-term health is vital, and our weight plays a major role in maintaining optimal health. # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
The question is: How can YOU purchase and get the benefits from GR Control? # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
It’s quite simple! You have a choice : # You could simply purchase your GR Control Starter Kit at retail price , and start using your GR Control right away. The retail price of GR Control is only A$14.66 per day and when you consider what that includes - including meal replacements for two meals in the day, it is a very small price to pay for the benefits you will receive through losing weight. But you can do even better than that ! # By registering with GNLD as a Direct Customer , you can purchase your product direct from GNLD at a 25% discount and have your product delivered to your home whenever you want it. Not only does this result in significant savings, but there are a whole range of additional benefits you can receive - including access to GNLD’s exciting Plan which rewards you for sharing GNLD products with others. It is a Plan that even helps you get your own products for FREE! So to tell you about it, and perhaps to share with you just how they got started with GNLD, we have one of our more successful Distributors with us tonight. _____________________ is a ______________ with GNLD. Please welcome ____________________ to the front of the room. [Applause] # SPEAKER 2 (cont.): Health & Weight Management with GR 2 Control
Thank you _________________. Didn’t he/she do a wonderful job telling us about GR Control and how it can help us to manage our weight and have better health. Let’s give _______________ a big round of applause. [Applause] As I was looking around the room earlier, I was looking at these wonderful product displays . Can I see the hands of those who helped set these up? [Raise hand]. Let’s give them a round of applause for creating these lovely displays and demonstrations for all of us to enjoy. [Applause] Let me begin by formally introducing myself. My name is ________________ and I am a _____________ here in GNLD. Listening to the previous speaker, I couldn’t help thinking about the first GNLD meeting I attended _____ years ago. [Give brief ID including: your background; What you were doing before GNLD and how you were doing; Who introduced you to GNLD; Initial reactions – or How you felt before/during the meeting and How you felt after the meeting.] Let me share with you what they told me back then about the GNLD Plan, that got me really excited. # SPEAKER 3: Business & Financial Opportunity [No longer than 10-15 minutes on Business & Financial Opportunity Section]
They said that YOU start here as a Direct Customer – or Distributor. [If doing on board, write “YOU” and encircle]. # As a Direct Customer or Distributor, you deal directly with the company, GNLD. [Write “GNLD” in box and draw arrow]. __________________ has already told you about this wonderful company so I won’t go over that again. As a registered Direct Customer or Distributor with GNLD, you can purchase any GNLD products that you choose, from the company, at a discount or wholesale price. # That is at least a 25% discount off the normal retail price [Write ‘-25%’ above arrow] and it can be even more if you buy products by the case . You also start to receive regular publications that will help you to learn more about the GNLD products and how you can take more control over your health. # It is only A$85 to register [Write ‘Regist’n = A$85’ below arrow] and you will find that you will quickly recover this in the discounts, as well as the other benefits, that you receive. But in addition, as you are now buying the products at a discounted price, you can now start to share GNLD products with others and as a result build a business of your own. I wonder if I can ask who here tonight has ever thought of running or buying their own business, rather than working for someone else all your life? [Raise hand] I have found that most people, at some time, have considered the possibility of working for themselves. But many find it too difficult or too expensive and the risks can often be too great. But let me show you just how easy it can be with GNLD. As a Distributor with GNLD, you will need the necessary tools to build your business – such as some product to sell, as well as some literature and brochures to show to others. What product do we recommend? # SPEAKER 3 (cont.): Business & Financial Opportunity
You will then start sharing what you have found with others – your family, your friends, your relatives, your associates . [Draw customer lines] # In order to be successful, we suggest that you develop at least 12 good customers. [Write ‘12’]. A good customer is one where the entire family regularly uses 3 or 4 GNLD products each month. A person taking 4 weeks’ supply of GR Control is just one example. Of course this is only a model to show you how easy it can be. You might develop a lot more customers, but 12 good regular customers give you a base on which your GNLD business can be successful. As mentioned before, after selling the first 3 additional Starter Packs of GR Control, you will already have paid for your own product. There are not too many businesses where that happens! What do you do next? # You develop at least 3 Distributors of your own . [Draw 3 circles] Whilst sharing the products with others, you look for three people who, just like you, not only want better health, but also want some extra money. People who want to help others. People who are serious about building their own business. # For the purpose of this example, let’s call them Karen, John and Lisa. [If writing on board, use names of guests from the audience -- Write names in circles] What do Karen, John and Lisa do? Just like you, they register as Distributors and purchase their own GR Control. If all four of you each purchase 4 Starter Packs of GR Control during the same month, YOU qualify not just as a Manager, but as a Senior Manager. This means that you earn higher bonuses and are already on your way to qualifying as a Director in your GNLD business. # SPEAKER 3 (cont.): Business & Financial Opportunity
Karen, John and Lisa start using their product and start sharing with others so that, just like you, they also develop their base of 12 good customers. [Draw customer lines and write ‘12’ beside each circle] . # By following this model, the size of your business will grow to the level of a DIRECTOR. [Write ‘DIRECTOR’ under ‘YOU’ in circle]. As a Director, you will be able to maximise your earning potential. How long it will take you to develop a Director size business is entirely up to you. Some people grow to Director in as little as just 3 months! # By just following this simple model, you will earn over A$2,000 per month! [Write ‘Income’ on top of board and ‘Directors’ to the left. Write $ amount above the circle containing ‘YOU’] That’s over A$24,000 extra income per year – part time! Where does this income come from? Part of it comes from the retail profit that you have earned by selling the products such as GR Control to your customers. Part of it also comes from the Sales Volume Bonuses which, as a Director, range from 3% right up to the top level of 20%. As a Director, you can also qualify for a Director Car Bonus where you can earn up to an extra A$1,600 every month. [Refer to Car Bonus Chart] Directors also participate in many special incentives. Incentives really make this business FUN! You can participate in contests to earn fantastic opportunities to travel! [Refer to Travel Poster]. Travel to and stay at luxurious 5-star resorts in Australia, New Zealand, the Asia-Pacific region and all around the world. # SPEAKER 3 (cont.): Business & Financial Opportunity
As your Distributors, Karen, John and Lisa learn to duplicate what you have done , … # … by developing 3 Distributors of their own … # ... their business will also grow to Director size . [Draw lines to next level of Distributors … and write ‘Director’ under each name] # As this takes place, you now have 3 new Directors and your income would grow to over A$4,000 per month . [Write ‘3’ on left under Directors, and put amount under Income] . That’s twice the amount of income, but you haven’t had to do twice the amount of work! That’s what we call the power of “leverage”, where, through helping others to do what you did, your business grows and benefits! # Just imagine what would happen if you duplicated this model again , and you developed 6 Directors doing what you did, each with 3 Directors of their own. Your income would grow to over A$14,000 every month. [Write in 6/3 under Directors and show amount under Income] . That’s over A$160,000 per year ! And it IS all possible! In fact if you look in the back of the brochure that has been handed out [Show copy of “Opportunity Brochure”] , you will see a table that shows the actual average earnings of the Directors in Australia and New Zealand over the last 12 months. As can be seen, these people are earning just that type of income! And for many, it has been a part-time business! Just imagine all the things that you and your family could be doing if you were earning A$150,000 per year! You could finally be your own boss on a full-time basis, enjoying the lifestyle you deserve. Real vacations in 5-star hotels and resorts, a bigger home, the car of your dreams, and a first-class education for your children. Financial security without having to worry about the future when you have to retire! I’m not going to put up the figures showing what would happen if this model duplicates again – where you have just 12 Directors building the business using this same model. But I can tell you that you would become a millionaire! I know that might seem an incredible amount, but that is the power of duplication at work. # SPEAKER 3 (cont.): Business & Financial Opportunity
There is no limit on how far you want to go or how much you want to earn! [Write “No Limit” and draw upwards arrow] But you know, when I first heard this at a meeting just like this, I sat there and thought “I’m so busy, I just don’t have the time!”. Aside from that, “I don’t know how to sell!” But the person who was presenting said that if you can earn this much money, or if you could send your children to the very best school, would you be willing to find the time? So I said “YES”! And I haven’t regretted that decision at all. The company and my Distributor friend who sponsored me have supported me and helped to train me and showed me how to be successful. And it has been lots of fun! Make no mistake, to be successful does require work ! On a normal job, you have to show up everyday and work for so many hours. Unfortunately someone else decides how much you earn for those hours of work. Most people will work for thirty, forty, even fifty years and still be in debt. They have no way of making a fortune! They end up spending most of their time worrying that they don’t have enough money for retirement. Unfortunately, the only inheritance that gets passed on to their children is their debts. In GNLD you have the freedom to decide how much effort to put into building your business. YOU decide when to work, where to work. You even choose whom to work with. You will receive help and training along the way from your up-line sponsor, as well as from the company. We have systems in place to support you so that you can be successful right from the very start. With GNLD, we say you are in business for yourself, but you are not by yourself! # SPEAKER 3 (cont.): Business & Financial Opportunity
