How can Plan Ceibal Land into the Age of Big Data?@cristobalcobo
The main goal of this article is to describe the most relevant data sources and present an ongoing data analysis research grounded by a case study. In addition, this paper suggests next steps required to implement a learning analytics strategy within Plan Ceibal. If well exploited, this evidence based data can be used to support and improve the current technology and learning educational policies.

Redefining the Boundaries of Learning at Cyberlearning 2015@cristobalcobo
Few projects to introduce ICTs at scale across an entire education system have received as much global attention as that of Plan Ceibal in Uruguay, which has (among many other initiatives) provided free laptop computers to all public school students. http://www.ceibal.edu.uy/
This initiative was presented at the Cyberlearning 2015: Connect, Collaborate, and Create the Future held January 27-28, 2015, Virginia #cyberlearning.

Testing the Mysterious Sphere
This workshop helps testers get an overview of what to do and what not to do under different circumstances. Then it is observed how they react/respond in those situations from where the learnings are derived. It focusses on the key testing and consulting skills. They can tie it back to real time project experiences.
Through a series of interesting phases with role plays and activities the entire workshop duration is full of energy and interactions.

Button, D., Harrington, A., & Belan, I. (2014). E-learning & information communication technology (ICT) in nursing education: A review of the literature. Nurse Education Today, 34(10), 1311-1323.
There is need for constant updating of informatics in fields such as nursing so as to help those in the fields to be able to learn and utilize the skills they learn in positive development of children and personal development. This resource is aimed at performing a study spread out across a ten year period identifying the issues which arise and affect both tutors and students in the context of e-learning systems. This study has been significantly the largest change in the field of medicine and nursing education where hospital training was moved to the tertiary sector. Also, the existing differences between computers and systems dealing with informatics depending on their use can prove successful to the users. Technology has also enabled for the creation and use of online data sources and libraries for purposes of referencing and gaining knowledge.
From this reference I will be able to review how technology has been used in developing an online database which can be used by learners and tutors in the field of nursing to gain information.
FernáNdez-LóPez, Á. RodríGuez-FóRtiz, M. J., RodríGuez-Almendros, M. L., & MartíNez-Segura, M. J. (2013). Mobile learning technology based on iOS devices to support students with special education needs. Computers & Education, 61, 77-90.
Recent advancements in technology have assisted in creation of avenues for students with special needs to be able to access equal education opportunities. Mobile applications can be developed for children especially with cognitive disabilities and other difficulties which may arise in the process of learning to help them gain knowledge and education better. These applications can be used as a tool for improvement and betterment of behaviors, helping them interact with the environment and other aspects of holistic growth such as helping in communication. These applications can be designed for Apple iOS devices due to their increased use in the American market however developments can be made to incorporate other platforms. However, there exists a number of applications which have already been implemented and have proven to be successful in helping in positive growth n children.
I intend to use this source to sow how technology can be used to teach children with disabilities and difficulties in learning. Technology can be harnessed and channeled to be used as a tool for education outside the school to help for better growth and development of a child.

Transformational change is required in the area of education to improve outcomes for students. Telecommunications service providers are in a unique position to help educational institutions harness the rapidly expanding base of mobile and connected devices to accelerate the use of digital content in the classroom. By provisioning reliable network infrastructure, supplying standardized devices to all students, and partnering with a flexible teaching and learning application, service providers can create high-value opportunities while delivering effective new digital resources that help educators reduce costs, improve teaching tools, access more meaningful performance analytics, recast student engagement, and remodel educational standards worldwide.
LearningMate’s GoClass is a subscription-based, teacher-centered, classroom workflow- management application. Teachers use GoClass to develop and store lesson-plans in the cloud. In the classroom, they project those lesson-plans at the front of the room and broad- cast them to students’ mobile devices. Students can save content in their own accounts, and can annotate that content and collaborate around it with classmates. They can also access or buy additional related content. GoClass links students notes and annotations to the related lesson plan element by design. Students can elect to share this work with their teacher and can also collaborate with other students working on the same material.

16. Assumptions and Risk Is it duplicating existing effort within the department? How complete is the available information in the DepED database? Should the mashup be segmented to a target audience, say media? How can the mashup be made constantly visible on the internet’s public radar? Who will take over the mashup after ANSA-EAP has created it?
