2. Openning Compute Engine
1.Login to Gmail Account
2. Open Google Cloud
3.From the window click on console
4.From the Google Cloud Console Click on Compute Engine
3. Openning VM instances
1.From the connect option click on SSH connection
2.This will open the console to the Virtual Machine
8. Running the web app
1.Once unzip is completed
2.cd to the folder (cd <folder name>)
3.ls command to check the contents
4.Enter the Command screen
Screen command allows the web app service running even after closing the VM console
Its also allows the user to later login to this screen (like window) for closing or restarting the
Web app
5.Enter the Command grunt —force, this will run the web app
9. Command q to exit
Connecting to Screen
1.After Some time if the user needs to login to his screen window ,open the VM console as
shown in the previous slides
2.Enter Command ps aux | less
This will list out all the process with its ID (PID)
Copy the PID of Screen
10. Connecting to Screen
• Enter Command screen -d -r <PID>
This login to the screen window
• Enter Command control cntrl a + d
This will come out of the screen window ,and can be logged in with the PID
• Enter Command exit
This will terminate the screen window ,and can’t be loggeg in again
