I took a drive on my Gomoto from Somerset-West to Ceres and Tulbagh via several mountain passes

7. One has hardly left Bain's Kloof then one encounters Michell's Pass which leads into Ceres

9. There are many place to go from Ceres! Ceres has been described as the gateway to adventure, The Western Cape's own Outback.

10. I drove a short distance towards Touwsrivier and then turned around and drove a bit further along the Citrusdal Road. Prince Alfred's Hamlet is a small town about 10kms on this road outside Ceres

11. The Gydo Pass is on the road just outside Prince Alfred's Hamlet.

14. On the other side of the Gydo Pass the road opens into a long valley with many farms. I did not know it at the time but the road in this picture would have taken me back to Ceres along a different route. I turned around at that point.

15. From Ceres I went back via Michell's Pass and drove through Wolseley to Tulbagh. Church Street in Tulbagh is the street with the highest concentration of National Monuments in South Africa

18. The final mountain pass for the day. By this time my backside had already decided to start punishing me for making it sit on the Gomoto seat for so long

20. My final stop between Wellington and Stellenbosh. I drank some coffee here and bought a porcelain decoration for my daughter's bedroom. The owner keeps two pet snakes. While I was there one of the snakes ate two baby hamsters for supper.
