Pilate questions Jesus about the accusations the Jewish leaders brought against him. When they refuse to answer, Pilate asks Jesus if he is the King of the Jews. Jesus responds that his kingdom is not of this world. He was born and came to testify to the truth. When Pilate asks what is truth, Jesus has declared the difference between God's eternal kingdom and earthly, temporary kingdoms. Acts Lesson 24
Peter explains to other believers that God had shown him a vision telling him it was acceptable to preach to Gentiles. He recounts visiting Cornelius, a Gentile, where the Holy Spirit fell upon those listening before they were baptized. When questioned about this later, Peter recounts the vision and emphasizes that God had given the Gentiles the Holy Spirit, showing God had accepted them. The other believers then accept that God had granted repentance and salvation to Gentiles as well.

Pilate questions Jesus about the accusations and charges brought against him by the Jewish authorities. Instructions for Church Age Disciples
1. Suffering is to be expected as a disciple of Christ, as he was persecuted. Disciples should expect to be treated the same as their teacher.
2. God will bring all things to light, so disciples should not fear revealing the truth, even when opposed secretly.
3. Disciples should only fear God, not those who can kill the body, as God controls both body and soul.
Apostolic Instructions
Jesus summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits and to heal diseases. These twelve were called apostles. Jesus gave them specific instructions for their mission, telling them to only go to Israel and preach that the kingdom of heaven was at hand. They were not to acquire possessions and were to stay in worthy houses. This shows the unique mission of these twelve apostles, which differs from the Great Commission given later to spread the gospel to all nations. Therefore, there are good arguments that there are no apostles in the modern sense, as their role was unique and tied to the founding of the early church.
Worker's for the Harvest
Jesus traveled through cities and villages teaching, preaching the gospel, and healing people. He saw the crowds as like sheep without a shepherd and felt compassion for them. Jesus told his disciples that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, and instructed them to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out more workers.
" Restoration for the Broken: Broken Bodies"
Jesus heals two blind men and a mute man possessed by a demon. When the blind men cry out to Jesus as "Son of David," and affirm their belief that he can heal them, Jesus touches their eyes and restores their sight. A mute man is then brought to Jesus, and after casting out the demon, the man regains his ability to speak, astonishing the crowds. The Pharisees attribute Jesus' power to Satan.
" Restoration for the Broken: Broken Hope"
1) A woman who had been suffering from bleeding for 12 years believed that if she touched Jesus' cloak she would be healed. When she did, her bleeding stopped.
2) Jesus asked who touched him, and the woman admitted what she had done. Jesus said her faith had healed her and told her to go in peace.
3) This story and that of Jairus' daughter illustrate that when others are healed through faith, it can strengthen our own faith and bring us hope in difficult times.
" Restoration for the Broken: A Broken Home"
This document discusses three lessons from Matthew 9:18-26: humility, hope, and healing. It describes how the synagogue ruler Jairus humbly asked Jesus for help despite his high social standing. It also explains how the woman's touching of Jesus' robe delayed healing but strengthened Jairus' faith. Finally, it recounts how Jesus dispelled the scoffing crowd and raised the dead girl, blessing Jairus' persistent faith.

Peace in the Conscience
Jesus heals a paralyzed man brought to him by four friends. When Jesus sees their faith, he tells the man his sins are forgiven. Religious leaders object, but Jesus emphasizes that forgiving sins is most important. Jesus then heals the man's paralysis to prove he has authority to forgive sins. The crowds are amazed at God's power through Jesus to heal both spiritually and physically.

Peace in the Community
Jesus heals two demon-possessed men in the country of the Gadarenes. Satan had robbed the men of their sanity and self-control, leaving them living in tombs and violently threatening others. When Jesus encounters the men, he casts the demons out of them. This contrasts what Satan does to people versus what society and Jesus can do. While society isolates and restrains, Jesus transforms people and values them over property or animals. The demons recognize Jesus' deity and power, knowing he has come to judge them. The healing shows Jesus helps everyone, not just Jews.
"...and then came Sunday EVENING!"
The disciples were hiding behind locked doors on the evening of Jesus' resurrection out of fear of the Jewish leaders. Jesus suddenly appeared among them and said "Peace be with you." He showed them his hands and side to prove he had been resurrected. The disciples were overjoyed to see Jesus alive again. His resurrection proved that he had conquered sin and death, and through faith in him believers can have eternal life.
The Power of the King: Peace Through the Storm

The Centurion's Servant Healed
The passage describes Jesus healing the servant of a Roman centurion from a distance. It says:
1) A centurion approached Jesus, asking him to heal his paralyzed servant. Though a Gentile soldier, the centurion demonstrated great faith in Jesus.
2) When Jesus offered to come to the centurion's home, the centurion insisted that Jesus only need say the word to heal him. The centurion understood Jesus' authority.
3) Impressed by the centurion's faith, Jesus healed the servant from a distance immediately, as the centurion believed. It was one of the first times Jesus referred to hell. The passage emphasizes that Jesus' grace is for all people.
Cleansing The Leper
- Jesus heals a leper by touching him, taking on himself the man's impurity and cleansing him of leprosy as a sign of taking on humanity's sin.
- The healing shows Jesus' willingness to save the lost and take upon himself humanity's diseases and sins.
- Jesus tells the man to see the priests as required by law as testimony to his healing, though the man disobeys and spreads the word anyway.
God's Judgement For The Christian
- Jesus finishes teaching from the Sermon on the Mount by addressing how Christians should prepare for God's judgement. He explains that merely claiming to follow God but not obeying His will is insufficient, and on judgement day God will reject those who knew His words but did not act on them.
- Jesus compares Christians to builders, one who builds his house on a solid rock foundation by both hearing and obeying God's words, and one who builds on sand by only hearing but not acting on God's words. When troubles come, only the house built on the rock remains standing.
- True faith is demonstrated through obedience to God's word, not just words or works. Christians must hear God's words and do them

John witnesses the sealing of God's 144,000 witnesses, and he hears the crying out or shouting of an unnumbered multitude of those who have been saved during the great tribulation.
This is an intermission scene before opening the seventh seal. We have seen six seals opened revealing of the events that would shortly occur. The first 4 reveal what was to occur in the great tribulation during the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in AD70.
The fifth seal reveals the question from those slain as to when the Lord would avenge their death. The sixth seal reveals the answer to them from the One on the throne and of the Lamb which would be the punishment of their persecutors and accomplices. John sees four messengers/angels holding back the four winds of the earth & keeping them from blowing on the earth, the sea or any tree. In this figurative language, these are not heavenly messengers/angels. These represent those who are trying to restrain the word of God everywhere. Their efforts are restrained by the messenger in verse 2, preventing them from holding back the 4 winds, the spread of the gospel of Christ by His messengers/angels. These 4 winds stand on the four corners of the earth, Rome’s worldwide influence to stop its spread. But the gospel will be preached in all the earth. See the study for the Bible passages that support this. John hears the commands given relating to the sealing of the servants of God and the figurative number representing them. John sees a great multitude standing before the throne of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues who are clothed with white robes. All the messengers/angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four beasts fell before the throne and worshipped God. One of the elders asks John what those were that were wearing white robes. John said he knew and the elder identifies them. The chapter ends with his explanation.

Muladhara is the root centre of physical experience, located at the base of the spine, the sacral plexus. The square represents the earth itself, the four dimensions and the four directions. Four allows for completion, and earth embodies the elements and conditions for human completion on all levels.
Muladhara Chakra is the meeting place of the three main nadis: Ida, Pingala and Sushumna. The downward-pointing triangle indicates the downward movement of energy and the three main nadis.
The seed mantra is Lam, the yellow square represents the earth element. The Muladhara chakra governs the vital breath Apana. An inverted triangle in the centre of the square encloses the unmanifest Kundalini, represented as a snake wrapped in three and a half coils around the svayambhu (self born) linga. Because her mouth faces downward, the flow of energy is downward.
The opening at the entrance of the sushumna is called brahma-dvara, the door of Brahma, which is closed by the coils of the sleeping Kundalini. As soon as one begins working with Muladhara chakra, this dormant energy awakens, raises its head and flows freely into the channel of Sushumna, the central nerve canal that runs along the spine. These two aspects of the kundalini: sleeping and waking, are identified as her “poison” and her “nectar.” The kundalini is poison when she remains asleep in the lower abdomen; she is nectar when she rises up through Sushumna, the medial channel, to reunite with Siva, the Absolute, in the yogin’s cranial vault.
In the pericarp is found the presiding deity Brahma, the lord of creation. His skin is the color of wheat, he wears a yellow dhoti and a green scarf. Brahma is four-faced, four-armed, holding in his upper left hand a lotus flower, the symbol of purity.

For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth.

- 7. The 4th Trial… •Between v 24 and 28, Jesus went through two more trials, Caiaphas and the San Hedrin •Short trial, at sunrise took Him to Pilate •Vv 28 has the most hypocrisy and human depravity ever scene •What Irony!

False Accusations/ Pre-defined verdict… •Vv 29-32, Pilate’s 1st question was normal •Jewish Leaders didn’t answer, because they knew there was no crime according to Roman Law •Luke 23:2 says they made up three charges •Luke 23:2 And they began to accuse Him, saying, “(1) We found this fellow perverting the nation, and (2) forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, (3) saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.”
- 9. Trial by Pilate… •The only true statement was the Messiah charge! •The last thing Pilate needed was a Hebrew Hooplah •He thought, “Why crucifixion over stoning?” •Shame for Jesus

More Jewish Rules… If a man has committed a sin deserving of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, 23 his body shall not remain overnight on the tree, but you shall surely bury him that day, so that you do not defile the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance; for he who is hanged is accursed of God Deuteronomy 21:22-23
