God Comforts Us in Tribulation

      2 Corinthians 1; 4; 11-12
2 Corinthians 1:3-5; 4:5-7
Paul and Timothy are able to avoid despair
despite being troubled, perplexed, persecuted,
and cast down because of their faith in Christ.
They taught about Christ and had faith in Him so
that Christ could enter into their hearts and
comfort them.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
The teachings in these verses can help us during
our tribulations because they teach us that are
tribulations are only temporal. Teachings taught
in these verses also help us to focus and trust in
God and give us an eternal perspective.
2 Corinthians 11:24-31; 12:7 and
   Doctrine and Covenants127:2
There are many similarities that I see between
Paul’s life and the life of the Prophet Joseph Smith.
One similarity I see is that they both were beaten.
Another similarity I see as that in both their lives
they were persecuted by their own country men.
Many the things that Paul listed that happened to
him also happened to the Phrophet Joseph smith, but
despite all the trials they had both Paul and the
Prophet Jospeh Smith continued in their duties and
trusted in God knowing that their trial were only for
a small moment.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10; Jacob 4:7;
   Ether 12:27; Bible Dictionary
             “Grace”
Grace plays a huge role in overcoming our
tribulations. One way grace helps us overcome
tribulation is that it makes us humble so that we
are able to turn to Christ and his atonement for
help. If we have done everything we can do to
overcome our tribulations then the grace of God
makes up for what we cannot do on our own. If
have repented and have faith in the atonement of
Christ than we can receive His grace to help us
overcome our tribulations.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 and Mosiah
             24:13-15
The Lord answered Paul’s prayer not by taking
away his trials, but by giving Paul His grace so that
Paul’s trials were easier for him to bear.
The experience in Mosiah 24:13-15 can help me in
times of tribulation because it lets men know that
when I pray unto the Lord to take away my trials
that he will not take them away but will make my
trials easier for me to get through. This experience
helps me to realize that if we do all we can do in
times of tribulation then grace of God will make up
for the rest and make our burdens easier to bear.
