1. Goals must align with the organization's mission and strategy and be tied to company-wide goals. They should be set through a collaborative process so that everyone involved accepts them as important. 2. When setting goals it is important to review past achievements to understand what made them successful and keep track of current progress to provide assistance. 3. Goals need to be specific, clear, easy to understand, measurable with outcomes and benchmarks, have a timeframe, be challenging but achievable, and be supported by rewards to celebrate success.

① Your group’s goals must align with the organization’s mission and strategy
