Waplestore is developing a location-based social network game (LBSNG) called "Quest+" that utilizes gamification principles. Users can complete quests at real-world points of interest (POIs) to earn rewards like points and levels. The game is built on an open platform with APIs for building customizable quests, analyzing user statistics, and integrating advertising. Waplestore hopes to partner with social/mobile game companies, local businesses, publishers and advertisers to expand the platform and cross-promote between real and virtual places. They demonstrated a prototype and are looking for feedback and potential partners.
