consoles but the main 2 consoles were called
“The Magnavox Odyssey” and “The intellivision”
• The Magnavox was released by Ralph Baer. They
started to make it in 1966 and finished building it
in 1968.
• The Intellivision was released in 1979 and it was
made by Mattel. It got discontinued in January
1984

3. 1980-1989
• Nintendo released Family computer in 1983
• This console got discontinued on the September 25 2003. It
sold over 61.91 Million.
• The console used a ROM cartridge to play the games.
• Sega released the Master System. It got released in 1985 and
and discontinued in 1989.
• It sold over 10-13 million worldwide.

4. 1990-1999
• In 1994 Sony released PlayStation 1. They
released the console on the December 3 1994.
• After 9 years PlayStation 1 has shipped over
100 million units. The console used Memory
cards to save items.
• In 1996 Nintendo released there console
called Nintendo 64 which sold over 32.9
million units. This console was popular by the
public

5. 2000-2009
• In 2005 Microsoft released Xbox 360. They
have sold of 70 Million units sold worldwide
since the September 30 2012. At first released
the prices for the console ranged from $200 to
$300.
• In 2006 Sony released playstation3. The
console sold over 70.2 million units. It was
very popular by the public.

6. 2010 and on
• Nintendo released the Wii in 2006. So far it
has sold over 97.8 Million units. This console
was very popular with family due to the easy
navigation and friendly approach.
• Nintendo released the Wii U, in 2011. It is the
first Nintendo console with hd compatibility.
