This document defines several key terms related to international commerce and business including: legal abandonment, temporary admission, advance purchase, customs, dumping duty, capacity, ASEAN, lease, ATP, general average, delivery notice, international freight, and LAIA. It provides Spanish definitions for these terms and concepts essential to international trade.

2.  ABANDONMENT LEGAL : Legal Institution customs by which, at the
expiration of the terms for applying for or destination entry for consumption or




cash out the goods, the customs office for the property acquired in foreclosure

in particular a variant called counter purchase operations . The importer before
receiving the goods, it sends the main exporter counterpart products . As the
leading exporter selling such products will enter the amount in escrow account
and once reaches a predetermined balance , pays for export goods

3.  CUSTOMS : Agency responsible for implementation of customs





legislation and control of the collection of customs duties and
other taxes .
AFLOAT: means the amount of a product on board ships and in
route to a destination. In transit has the same meaning , but
refers to shipments by land.
INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT : Also "Carrier" . He who makes
and receives shipments , consolidates and deconsolidate loading
and acts as multimodal transport operator .
CHARTERER AGENT : Is appointed by the charterer to make
room for a load to the lowest possible freight , and more
favorable conditions for the cargo owner .
LAIA : Latin American Integration Association .
FTAA : Free Trade Area of the Americas .

4.  AD : The manufacturer sold abroad at prices lower than nationals doing the





dumping. In the antidumping foreign demand is less elastic than the domestic
, either because foreign competition is less, or for any other reason .
DUMPING DUTY : Right trying to discourage or prevent dumping Usually the
goal is to impose a duty equal to the difference between the sale price of the
goods in the country of origin, and the selling price in the importing country .
CAPACITY: Evaluation of goods by the customs authorities for the purpose of
payment of customs duties . It can be physical ( inspection of goods in situ ) or
documentary ( inspection of documents ) .
ASEAN : Association of Southeast Asian Nations . Since 1967 . Members:
Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Papua New Guinea ,
Vietnam and Laos are observers. South Korea has a special status .
LEASE ( LEASE ) : Rental of physical goods , especially capital goods , which
perform some financial institutions and give the option to purchase by
capitalizing rental fees paid.
ATEIA : International Transporters Association and Allied .

5.  ATP : International Agreement on the International Carriage of Perishable
Goods and Special Vehicles .
 ATPA Andean Trade Preference Act : Under the same tariff preferences exist




with industrialized countries .
GENERAL AVERAGE : When intentionally and reasonably made ​or harm
sacrifice of the goods in order to preserve a ship or other commodities .
DELIVERY NOTICE : This document informs the sender that the nominee
