Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve is located in southeast Alaska and covers over 13,000 square kilometers. The park is a rugged landscape dominated by glaciers, mountains, and coastal fjords. It is home to bears, deer, whales, and offers hiking, fishing, boating, and other outdoor activities. Despite its northern location, the marine climate maintains temperatures above freezing in the winter, though mountain areas receive heavy snow. Visitor facilities are only open for part of the year due to the remote setting which can only be accessed by plane or boat.
