Technology innovation hubs are physical spaces that have emerged across Africa to support the growth of technology communities and entrepreneurship. They provide coworking spaces, access to high-speed internet and resources, and opportunities for collaboration and learning. By bringing together talented young people, they help fill gaps in support structures for technology innovation. Examples discussed include iHub in Nairobi, ActiveSpaces in Cameroon, and iceAddis in Ethiopia. These hubs aim to catalyze technology and economic development by providing the physical and social infrastructure needed for digital communities to evolve.
