Give a Kid a Chance is a nonprofit organization that throws a large annual back-to-school party for students, providing them with backpacks filled with supplies, haircuts, clothing, health screenings, food, and Bibles at no cost. The event started in 2006 helping 100 kids and has grown each year, helping over 2,700 students in 2010 with the help of over 400 volunteers. They are now planning for the 2011 event and need donations and volunteers to continue providing resources to students in need.

14. Highlights from 2010 event On July 17, we gave away 2,671 backpacks 10,100 pair of new socks and underwear 95 pizzas, 1,900 hotdogs 414 volunteers 3,200 Bibles And performed: 1,672 health screenings
